Asking About Suspension

I am assuming when you talk about our freedom of speech you mean the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

So lets look at that and I will even bold the pertinent information for you.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

So it says that CONGRESS shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.

The Bill of Rights or the first 10 amendments to the constitution were put into place to prevent an overbearing GOVERNMENT from putting laws into place against its own citizens.

It says nothing about a private company making rules on their servers that you agreed to when signing up for their service.

This is why you can not just walk into any business and start cussing at people and try and throw out that its your freedom of speech.

I'm just speaking from experience I've been suspended before and it wasnt even my fault it was my cousin when I was at work I didnt know he was playing soni changed my password put a passkey so you gotta know that to get in my profile I can understand
suspended someone for literally cussing out someone yeah but 7 days should be the longest they can suspend you not 14 that's dumb its getting to where I'm about to go to some I've been with xbox since the original xbox came out and never have left xbox but
this keeps up getting suspended when it's not your fault its dumb

My roommate was playing when I got suspended. Can it be lifted?

However, as the owner of the account you are ultimately responsible for how the account is used, both good and bad. When we issue a suspension, it’s not necessarily because you committed a violation, but because the account was used to commit a violation.
Even if you weren’t home or holding the controller when the activity occurred, if a particular Gamertag was used to harass other players or cheated in a game we have to hold it accountable.

It may not be that particular instance that got you suspended. Suspensions are not issued instantly, each complaint is looked into by the enforcement team and it does take time for things to happen. I suspect that you were comm banned because of some other
complaint.
