Asking a parent to accept an add-on

recently, I've been playing a ton of Destiny 2. The game is extremely fun playing with friends and even more fun when you buy add-ons. I used a giftcard to buy the expansions Warmind and Curse of Osiris. Now, I'm trying to use a credit card as a payment
option. Before anything, xbox makes me request a parent. I do that, and the parent says he/she cannot use their money on their Microsoft account to pay for it. Microsoft makes us call them. Is there a way to fix this???

New terms of use policy

On the windows phone it is asking my parents to go to Xbox.com and accept the terms and policies on my account but where do I go? Its for the my family thing

Terms of Use

It has been a week (roughly) since the terms of use were updated, but it still won't let me accept them. Me and my parent forgot the parent password so we changed it, taking note that this change was around the release of the release, and we still can't
accept them. We've tried everyday since and still it keeps asking us to accept it, type in the parental password and email, accept the terms again, then it just carries on in a cycle between the two and we seem to be getting nowhere, can someone help?

So were you able to successfully purchase the two previous expansions, and now you're having issues purchasing the new expansion using a credit card?

Also is the account trying to make a purchase a child account? I suggest looking over this

article.

To change the default setting for your child:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select All Settings.

Under Account, select Family, select the account for the family member whose settings you want to change, and then select
Access to content.

Change the Buy and download setting.

Yeah if you it's asking for a password to accept the terms of use then that means the parental account needs to approve. Make sure you know the password for the parental WLID.

Hmm, it sounds like we need to use the website to have the Parental account accept the ToU. You said that the console was asking you to accept them, right? If so, it should display an email for that Parental account- that's the account we need signed into
this website.

UPDATE: With the new update on Xbox.com I don't get 0x82bc0005 anymore on the apps. Instead it asks me to go online and accept the new terms of service. Problem is, when I accept it still asks for parental approval.

Sounds like you have a child account, and the parental account also needs to accept the Terms of Use. Try signing in with the parental account first, accept the terms of use, then sign in with the child account. When it asks for parental permission, use
the parental login credentials, then confirm acceptance of the terms of use with your credentials.
