Asked to purchase "black ops" game after inserting disk

I have Xbox One X and recently purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war used on physical disk. First time I inserted it was trying to sign me in, then failed and now every time it prompts me purchase game from MS store... I'm not aware that we are not allowed to buy/sell these games used? What could be the problem?

there is no serial so the game should work as the game will only launch with the disc present

Same problem. Keeps saying Not able to purchase at this time. Please try again later.

Also, when I put in my original disk, Blu-Ray player keeps coming up. Uninstalled Blu-Ray app and asks me to install Blu-Ray app again when inserting Black Ops disk.

try launching the game from your hdd, then inserting the disc after you click launch and it asks for you to put in the disc.. i do this for my black ops

I have the same issue with my black ops 2 disk. Every disk I own has no scratches and is structurally sound including my x-box elite. everything i have been told is that the laser on my xbox is not working correctly however every game/movie I insert into
my xbox works fine with no problems. I spent 63 dollars on this game and would like this issue addressed. Tested 3 other black ops 2 disk that worked fine on other consoles in witch none of them worked on mine. It would be really nice to play black ops
2 sometime before black ops 3 is released

The message error code is asking if I own the game and saying if it’s on disk then insert the disk.
