I purchased the dragon age inquisition DLC bundle during a sale. After putting my game disc in to start the install process I realized my game disc wouldn't work. I tried for hours solutions online to try to fix the issue. The xbox just refuses to recognize
dragon age inquisition as a game disc and wont install. I figured "oh well, I'll just buy the game digitally for a couple of bucks". I then noticed the only way to buy the game digitally was to buy the "game of the year" edition that came bundled with the
dlc. So I bought it figuring no big deal, I can get a refund for the DLC bundle I bought previously by itself that was useless to me without the actual game. So now I have two purchases of the dlc bundle, One that includes the game, and one that is just
the DLC by itself. I requested a refund for the first dlc bundle I bought by itself that night figuring it would be a smooth process, I showed that I was an actual customer just trying to get the right product by buying the actual pack I needed afterwards
and figured they would give me a refund no problem for the duplicate DLC bundle I accidentally bought first.

Nope. My request was denied because "i had played the game, and they don't offer refunds on games that have been played" I know the game has been played... I'm not asking for a refund of the game that I have progress in. I'm requesting a refund for the
duplicate dlc bundle I had purchased a few hours prior that was useless to me without buying the game. I have two purchases of the same dlc and I'm just trying to get a refund for the 8 dollars I accidentally spent on the first dlc bundle I purchased that
I couldn't use without buying the game again. Any advice on how to go about refuting the refund denial would be greatly appreciated. I love the game, perfectly happy with all the dlc+game.

TL;DR- I just want a refund for a duplicate purchase of the exact same content bought twice within a span of a few hours.

Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. The best thing to do is reply to the email associated with the refund request stating the denial. You can also try and submit another request. The refund team are the only ones to handle the refunds. Support would guide
you to do the same thing as i have mentioned unfortunately.

If you've already checked, including your spam/junk folder, and it's been more than 24 hours since your refund was denied, I recommend reapplying for the refund using this other link:

https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund

If your refund is denied again this time, you should receive an email informing you of the denial, as this is the only way they have to communicate this information when you request a refund through that method. When you receive the email, respond to it explaining the reasons why they should reconsider their decision.

For your refund request ( an accidental purchase ) it can be denied if it does not meet the terms and condition of Microsoft. Possible that the item was purchased for more than 5 days when you requested the refund or you already have a previous refund
for the same reason
