    Asinine, arcane, and imbecilic sign-in policy to play non-live game on existing account


    So I'm essentially forced to do a system update after purchasing Skyrim and all of a sudden I'm expected to sign into an account I've never had to sign into to platy a game I ALREADY own and DON'T play online on an Xbox that works perfectly. It's the most
    asinine policy that doesn't protect me or my account at all. If I had removed my old e-mail according to the forums I'd be *** as there'd be no way to recover any saved profile or game information. Mocrosoft is fill of id*ots to enforce such a needless and
    imbecilic sign-in policy on users that don't even use Live or care for any of their services. No more Xbox or Microsoft games for me. With Sony out also, back to the PC for good. It's absurd and ridiculous, and here 30 minutes later after I finally get into
    my old account information it FORCES YOU to enter backup phone or email information, screw you guys.

    Merging profiles?

    Unfortunately you cant merge Xbox accounts. There is just no way to do it sorry.

    But if your playing Fable through Games For Windows Live, you can actually use your existing Xbox account to do this. You just sign in with your existing details and play away! by the sounds of it you could have actually earned that Gamerscore on your existing
    account, in fact you can still do it of you play the game with that account!

    Signing in

    We're connected to the internet on console. When we click X-Box live, it does not give us a prompt to sign in to an existing account, it just wants us to join and create a new account. Where can we find the "sign-in" since we have an existing account already?
    Please help.

    Here we are again.

    Like I said I get so frustrated with this that I give up and come back around every now and then and try to fix it again.

    SO, no I cannot do what you suggested.

    When I login under my account I am unable to do anything listed in that link.

    When I mouse over my childs profile, it is "X"ed out.

    I cannot even click it.

    I am the family organizer...

    Again this is just ridiculous how convoluted and asinine this system is to simply play a local game with family members.

    What's the NEXT suggestion?

    Adding a child as an organizer will not solve the situation, you need to add it again as a child account

    I cant change my microsoft account on xbox 360

    That is what the problem is you can not change the email to an email that is ALREADY a MS account email (Hotmail, outlook, live, msn) the best thing to do is sign into your current account at account.live.com/addassocid and either create a new (outlook.com)
    email account or use an existing email non MS account like a Gmail, yahoo, ISP server email that is not already a MS account.
