    Artifacts on certain series x games


    Hi,

    I've been playing with my console for some months and only once encountered a problem in Gears 5. I just forgot about the game, thought it was just an installation problem and moved on to avoid installing it again. But yesterday I encountered another problem in Flight simulator for series X, and I'm starting to think it's a hardware problem

    - Gears 5: there's a horizontal band where all inside this band is pixelated and glitched. Maybe it's not entirely clear on the image below but it's totally unplayable. But the game menu is displayed OK

    - Flight simulator: the bottom half of the screen is filled with artifacts. But the weird thing is the text "Pulsa cualquier tecla para empezar" is displayed OK above the artifacts.

    All the other games I played along these months were flawless, and the xbox dashboard is displayed with no glitches or artifacts.

    I tried 1080p, 2k, 4k, changing HDMI cables, changing HDMI inputs, updating TV firmware, reinstalling multiple times the games, enabling/disabling VRR on console and on TV, and may more tests, but these 2 games are always with artifacts.

    Any idea what's happening? I'm suspecting it's a CPU or GPU failure but I'm not sure. I have a MS support ticket open and if I don't fins any solution I'm sending the console back to repair

    Received Xbox Series S back from service, no sound no 4k

    Well no it's not supposed to do 4k with most games and doing it with the series s would cause artifacts

    Most games will only run at 1080p

    If you are streaming you can do 4k as it doesn't require that much power

    The series x and Xbox one x ps5 and switch pro are 4k consoles

    The series s can only do 4k with certain titles and mostly ms ones and not very well

    Most games will be locked at 1080p or 1440p at most

    Smart delivery will not give you Uhd textures due to the space and proccessor

    This is in Battlefield 1943. It looks worse in person than in the picture. The ground textures are the only ones with the black pixels. Again, this is only in-game, because the xbox menu as well as the game menu are completely fine
