    Arris (Modems/Gateways): Restore Factory Defaults
    **** TG1672 (**** Firmware)

    Login Information

    • Gateway - 192.168.0.1
    • Username - admin
    • Password - password
    Restore Factory Defaults

    Through firmware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
    4. Enter the username and password if the gateway asks.(admin/password)
    5. From the menu on the top select Wireless.
    6. From the submenu on the top select Utilities.
    7. From the menu on the left select Factory Defaults.
    8. Select the Factory Defaults button.
    Through Hardware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Locate the reset button on the device.
    3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
    4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.

    • Username - admin or technician
    • Password - password or WOWpass

    Restore Factory Defaults

    Through firmware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Enter http://192.168.0.1 or
      http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar. (Or click one of the links)
    4. Enter the username and password if the gateway asks. (admin/password, technician/WOWpass)
    5. From the menu on the top select Wireless.
    6. From the submenu on the top select Utilities.
    7. From the menu on the left select Factory Defaults.
    8. Select the Factory Defaults button.

    • Password - N/A (None)

    Restore Factory Defaults

    Through Firmware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1.
    4. Click login in the upper right.
    5. Input password and click login. (default password is to leave field blank)
    6. Select Utilities from the menu on the left.
    7. Select Restore Factory Defaults from the submenu on the left.
    8. Select Restore Defaults.
    Through Hardware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Locate the reset button on the device.
    3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
    4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.
