    Arris (Set-top Boxes): Randomly no sound from TV
    I have At&t U-verse Set-top Box connected to XBOX one X through HDMI in and HDMI out to Samsung TV. I also have optic audio out from XBOX one X to a Yamaha AVR. When the Set-top Box goes to sleep and I try to turn on the TV again
    I lose the TV sound and I have to turn the XBOX off and then on to get the sound back. The XBOX one X is sit to to to TV when it turn on. This also happen when I watch movie on XBOX or play games. I exchanged XBOX but I still have the same problem. I had a
    google TV box hooked the same way I hooked the XBOX before and I did not have this problem

    Why do Mics/Party still not work?

    Randomly:

    No sound through mic or TV, sound through TV only, sound through mic and TV, sound through kinect only, sound through mic but sounds like kinect.

    Also, still have to turn on part chat after accepting an invite, randomly turns off your chat without notification if not playing same game. Randomly turns off all sound/chat during games and then randomly returns all sound and chat after game ends.

    This was perfected on 360. They have the ability. What is the problem. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel Microsoft.

    Denon AVR-1507 can't turn on or off but mute and volume commands work

    The cable box is from Shaw, the make is Arris and the model is DCX3200-M. The code set is C1376.

    The TV code set is T1480.

    Hi, Sidorenkov.

    I am not a TV technician, but it sounds like the problem is with the TV, not with the Xbox (or any other part of the setup). if anything it sounds like the programme board may be malfunctioning (specifically relating to the HDMI ports), which could be due
    to an electrical surge.

    -

    The only things I can advise are to rule out each item one at a time. for example, do you use the same HD cable with the Bluray, xbox and PC? if yes then borrow a different cable and try it. Also, just to make double sure change the HDMI port you are inputting
    to on the TV.

    Beyond that I would recommend going to a forum for the TV and asking there, or even contacting the manufacturers directly.

    NAT Issues Using Gateway and Router

    Sounds like both the Arris and E900 by default use a LAN IP of 192.168.1.1. You will need to change the LAN IP of one or the other from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.X (where X makes an unused IP outside the range that the Arris is configured to hand out via
    DHCP). To change it on the E900, you will probably need to temporarily unplug the Arris. You may have to set your PC to a static IP of 192.168.1.X to reach the E900 but try without first.
