I'm trying to purchase this fortnights Xbox 360 Games with Gold Army of TWO™ The Devil’s Cartel game but get the nondescript message:

"Sorry, Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

I successfully purchased the other game currently free on gold no problem.

Two weeks ago I had exactly the same problem with Gears of War.

Please help!

Sorry to hear about the purchase issue! If both of you are trying to purchase the game from Xbox.com, I recommend hopping on your Xbox 360 console and attempt the download again.

Personally, I recommend actually *fixing* the website purchasing issue. I haven't had an issue with adding GWG games to my library from the Xbox Marketplace website prior to this one.

But, if Microsoft's "official support" answer is to use one of their services due to another being broken, it looks like I'll have to get my 360 hooked up temporarily. It's currently packed up due to moving.

 

Contacted ACTUAL support. They recognised this as an ACTUAL issue and escalated for correction. On a whim, after twenty minutes or so, I attempted to purchase via web-based marketplace and it went through properly.

Apologies for assuming the forum labelled "Xbox Support" is actually for "support".

I am having the same issue. The download gets to around 80% and then I get "Download can't be completed". I have deleted the system cache, I have deleted the marketplace cache, deleted all downloaded files and tried to reinitiate the process maybe 15 time
via all available channels. Something is certainly wrong, and I don't think it is on my end because i have done all the troubleshooting and Assassin's Creed just downloaded no problems. I've burnt some serious bandwidth downloading this to 80% so many times
too... not great... feel free to furnish me with xbox live credit as compensation microsoft folks!

When hardreseting thenmodem and router you have to turn it off for 2to3 mins

 

It appears that the online purchase tries to contact your XBox and see if there is space for the download. If the Xbox is off OR if you are not logged on, the transaction fails.

I have a 360 and a One and noticed that when the 360 drive is full the transaction fails and then after adding the One Noticed that only a box that is turned on and logged in can purchase. I use the same account on both devices.
