Armor-Unlocking more protection-Or just preferences?

I have looked everywhere online. Amazing how overloaded the web is with Popular stuff. So does unlocking armor help me take/give punishment. Or is it just for fun? This way I can stop worrying about if I need to check what Ive unlocked. Thanks

Light Armor vs. Heavy Armor

Light Armor has less protection but weighs less. Heavy has more protection but weighs more. I always go with heavy armor. Because there is a perk that makes heavy armor weightless.

[/quote] Yeah but a lot of people don't realize that there is an armour cap rating. The highest armour for max protection is only 567 or something. Meaning that maxed out light armour offers the same damage protection as heavy armour. The max damage protection
is 80%, no matter how high your number is it doesnt make a difference.

It is simply aesthetic, no armour has any advantage over any other piece.

Light Armor for now.

After you get the right perks unlocked Light Armor gives some pretty good protection.

heavy armor for a warrior because it provides way more protection than light armor. I prefer heavy armor. light armor for sneaking because it makes less noise. It depends on your character in all honesty if your a warrior with axes and swords go with heavy
although you will be slowed down because you will be taking a lot of damage when your up in the battle. If you want to sneak and use archery you will be farther away and take less damage. Hope that helps.

I don't know or care which is superior, light armor seems to benefit me more. With light armor perks, it becomes more protective than heavy armor anyway.
