Armor and weapon advice

Hey I would like to known peoples opinion on weapons and armor, i am currently using full Solaire armor with the gold tracer and moonlight great sword, with crest shield and velkas talisman (I started as a sorcerer then eventually got all my stats to 40
except faith is which 34 and endurance, vitality, and intelligence to 50, so I was wondering your preferred weapons and armor for some ideas :]

I know about Sens fortress but i cant even get there because im around Blighttown and advice on good. builds, weapons, armor etc.

OK, my opinion really doesn't carry much clout (as I've only been playing for the past 2 weeks or so =P ), but I so took the coward's way out my first char: over 50% encumbered, with whatever massive shield/sword I could find. See also: cower behind shield,
try for big damage 1 swing at a time, and dear jeebus, SOO slow lol.

Character I'm playing now is kinda opposite.. Cleric, focused on Faith 1st (for WoS cover achievement), and kept him light and stocked up on Miracles... Can't take more than 3 hits tops, easily one-shotted by some bosses, but WAY more fun! ^_^ Could be the
tactical benefit of further reach (using spears/halberds this time), or maybe it's the high stakes >= )

Think I'm off topic.. I guess the 'advice' bit of all this is: I def didn't die as much as I could've 1st playthrough, and I was able to learn the different aspects of each enemy/area/etc. very thoroughly, which is the only reason I'm enjoyinf the paper-dead-in-2
char I'm playing now ; ) But I digress, so someone with useful info/experience can share their wisdom =P

 

My suggestion for weapons is to go with something that you like in terms of moveset and your playstyle. Same with armor. It sounds like you're a pretty high level and you should be capable of wearing just about anything you want and using whatever weapons
you want, so it'll end up being a personal choice.

Do you like to fast roll, or do you like having heavy armor? Figure that part out and that will whittle down your choices to start off.

Also, if you use a slow weapon like the zweihander, you might want to have some poise so that you aren't knocked out of your attack animations every time you try and swing and the other person/enemy has a faster weapon.

Other than that, it's pretty open. The game is so well balanced that you can be viable with just about any weapon you choose. I will advise that you go with a +15 (or +5 for twinkling titanite upgrade path weapons). Your stats should ensure the scaling
is such that you'll get more damage from the +15 path than you will from elemental upgrades.

Thanks i've been plying around and discovered I love the Falchion w/ dragonslayer spear with full orstein armor, then i use the butcher knife with armor of thorns with bloated head just for some scary looks thanks for the advice.
