Arkham Knight not loading on New Story, get a black screen and nothing else

Hi, seems to be a regular problem here but I can't find a solution no matter what.

I get into the home screens and select new story then just get a black screen and nothing.

I've hard reset, removed account, removed saves, uninstalled and reinstalled game and all combinations of the above. It's a digital download not a disk.

Any solution would be very much appreciated although I think I'm going to have to contact Microsoft directly I think as nothing is fixing it. I only want to play a game, shouldn't b this difficult at all.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty discouraging. I suggest a

soft reset of the console outlined here (the kind that reset and keep my games & apps).

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

Hello all,

So the new dashboard started messing with my Xbox a few days ago. It started with the controller becoming unresponsive while I try to load anything. The screen will go black and will stay that way for a few minutes before it says try again(if that message
even loads). On top of those issues, now it seems my Xbox no longer accepts my internet. Saying that my internet security isn't compatible with Xbox. Also Xbox won't load home screen after power on. If it does, nothing works. Keep getting the "It's taking
too long" message. Pressing the close button just leaves me with a black screen untill the message reappears. I'm posting this here because when I try to report the problem, it's the same story. Black screen, unresponsive controller, takes to long message,
close or report, repeat. Anybody else having these issues?

I have the same problem but when i try loading online or anything along the online part, it freezes story mode then i have to reload the game. Sometimes i get past to load online but it just gets to a black screen with a loading circle at the bottom right
corner, still nothing happens, it just stays like that.
