Ark Survival Won't Start?

Just bought a giftcard to play the game called Ark. i downloaded it, finished and i started it. it puts me back to home screen and a message says took to long to start

ARK: Survival won't update???

I have tried to open Ark: Survival Evolved on my Xbox One S, but the first three times, it says, "Something went wrong" Then it displays the error code: 0x8b050033

The fourth I time opened it said this game needs an update. So I pressed update. It go's into the queue for about 1 second, then leaves the queue at 0% downloaded. It then says that it was recently installed, but it still requires the update and I can't
play it.

 

Downloading Issues

I recently bought ARK survival evolved but it won't go past 1% or 385.08 MB any suggestions on how to fix it?

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

 

Tried for 10 sec and still doesnt work. Can I get my money back from this?

 

You can certainly request a refund from digital purchases. Give phone support a call to speak with them about it. 1-800-469-9269 if you live in North America.

However, in the meantime can you please try deleting the game, power cycling again and then redownloading it to see if that helps?

If you can go offline restart your console from the snap an app start the Xbox load ARK then if it works go online you can still play offline just remember to be respectful online.

I'm having the same problem as above and have also tried all suggestions, but still can't play it. It seems to work one day and then the next I can't get on

Can anyone help at all ?

 

Ark worked well, but since 2 days it won't start.

new installation was done and still the same problem

 

Did you try a hard reset? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is
back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

I have already done the following things_

Hard Reset

Account deleted and refreshed

new installation

etc.

If I try to start the game, absolutely nothing happens

every other game is starting without problems.

It is an download game!

Sorry to hear it. Is your game stored on an external hard drive or the internal?

Can you please try shutting the console down by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Then, while it is off press and hold the power button and unplug it at the same time. If the button is flashing, continue holding it until it stops.

Then leave the console unplugged for 5 minutes to see if that helps.
