ARK: Survival Evolved poor performance

Why is this game unplayable on an Xbox one day one edition? Runs under 20 fps like 90% & this is a full release? So much for the hardware lasting an entire generation... you guys should at least have a warning letting people know this game is unplayable
on older models or releasing a model that makes it playable.

I Purchased ARK: Survival Evolved (Game Preview) in xbox live store, But .. did not receive my 1250 points . where is my points?

 

It is more the developer's fault for not optimizing the game properly on the original Xbox One. Microsoft has no hand in the development of ARK. I would visit Studio Wildcard's support
website and see if they have any fixes for improving game performance.

Last I remember when I ran a trial of ARK (while it was still in Game Preview status) on my original Xbox One, it ran so sluggishly, I was lucky to get a consistent 20FPS at all.

 

As mentioned it's up to the games devs (Studio Wildcard) to optimize this game. If I were you I would also try to reach out to Xbox Support in order to get a refund if possible as this should suffice as a reason, provided you haven't played the game for
more than two hours.

In fact Microsoft released a model for which this game is optimized, called the Xbox One X. Besides that you might also want to consider using a dedicated server for Ark as there you will already have a big performance boost, even on the original Xbox One.

 

I switched recently to the S but it seemed to run fine on my old one. Sorry you are having issues.
