ARK: Survival Evolved on Game Pass PC - Xbox Live Login Issues

Hi.

I'm having an issue where I can't log in to Xbox Live when I load ARK. I get to the point of pressing the Start button, it loads up the Xbox Live log in bit, but then gives me the error message "Your account does not match the dev environment. If you're
using the right sandbox and environment, switch to a Microsoft account for that sandbox. To keep using this account, change the registry's sandbox and environment. (%1)"

I have no idea what on earth this means and I am confused as all sin as other games on the Game Pass PC app work fine. My computer exceeds the recommended specs and it's not an actual Xbox Live issue. (as I can play other games, chat to friends, and log
into the Xbox website)

I've tried restarting my computer and changing time setting to automatic, though am having trouble trying to figure out how to remove my Microsoft account from my computer so I can sign back into it, as everywhere just says "Go to Accounts, find the account
in question, then hit Remove." and when I do, I see no Remove button anywhere.

Any ideas, please? I've been waiting to play this on PC for quite a while now, and now that I have the chance, I'm getting this issue which prevents me completely.

The next step, will require using a weblink to help acquire the Ark Survival Evolved for PC from the game pass.

Thank you for contacting the Xbox support forums. Ark Genesis Part 2 is part of the Genesis season pass that you can purchase separately with Ark: Survival Evolved. At this time, the Ark: Survival Evolved Explorer's Edition which includes; the Survival Evolved Season Pass, Extinction, Aberration, Scorched Earth, and Survival Evolved Aberrant Skins is the current edition that is available on Game Pass.

Ark: Genesis Part 2 is part of the second expansion pack which is not currently available with Game Pass. However, Game Pass members may currently receive a discount on the ARK: Genesis Season Pass which would include Ark: Genesis Part 2.

Ark Survival Evolved is a full game, and Ark Extinction is an add-on. Your title and description are contrary to each other and so I'm confused.

If you purchased Ark Survival Evolved then you should be just able to play it. However, if you purchased Ark Extinction then you must also purchase Ark
Survival Evolved.

Also, by the way, the Genesis DLC is part of the Season Pass for Ark Survival Evolved.

A fix that worked for me is this:

1: close out of the game

2: sign out of the microsoft store

3: restart your computer

4: log back into the microsoft store

5: with the store still open, go to the ARK store page and launch the game from there

this worked for me and many others who were having this issue, hopefully it fixes it for you too
