Ark Survival Evolved 2020 Hours wasted because of a deleted character

I have been playing Ark Survival Evolved ever since it has been released over 2 years ago. I finally beat the Dragon Boss and got the transmitter. I was so proud of myself. I felt the 2020 hours I put in this game is finally paying
off. I was level 95 almost 96 and I had Tek engrams that allows me to make Tek items. I also beat the Manticore Boss on hard. I get enough element to craft the transmitter. I place it in my base and transport to another server that I have with some of my friends.
I was so happy that I didn't have to wait for a drop to transfer to another server. So I am at that server for about 10 minutes and I decide to transfer back but something weird happened. I got this error code that I have never seen before and it closed the
game. I was like ok this is fine I will just rejoin the server and continue on my way. NO! I load the game, pick the server I was transferring to and when I got the error, and it asked me to create a new character. I was so mad! I immediately put in a ticket
at http://survivetheark.com and waited and waited. It has been 7 days now and I have not heard one peep from anyone at Studio Wildcard. Then I check Twitter and see a remark from Jeremy Stieglitz the creator of the game
saying this "Full PS4 update will be coming this week! Isn't it better for PC & Xbox to be the test guinea pigs so they get to bear thru all the issues?". I felt that was so unprofessional and uncalled for, but that just shows you what type of a company
Studio Wildcard is. I feel that if I create another character that it would take another 2000 hours and by that time they might just wipe all servers for the full release that is supposed to happen on August 8th 2017. I love the game but losing my character
was a game changer. Has anyone else had this problem and were able to get in touch with Studio Wildcard and get there character back? If so please pass on your secrets because there are a lot of other people just like me going thru this same problem.

Purchased Digital Games disappearing from library while still installed

Same thing with me but I had an error with Ark Survival Evolved so I deleted it and is its gone

 

Ark Survival Evolved game update Sept 1

Is the game update on Sept 1 a go for Ark Survival Evolved? Or did it fail microsoft Q and A? Because I see nothing about the patch in the top right of arks main menu in game.

 

This may seem like an obvious question but did you load the server you were transferring from in order to see if your character was still there? I'm sure you likely have but since it wasn't mentioned in your post I thought I would bring it up as a possibility.

It's worth noting though that the game technically still isn't a 'released' title but is still in Early Access and sadly they have the get out that system provides "don't buy if you aren't prepared to put up with serious issues."

Ark is officially released on August 8th.

 

ok I know this isn't going to be the response you want, but here goes, the game is still in beta form, you agreed to things like this happening when you bought the cut price game.

Sorry but stuff like that happens all the time in beta/alpha versions of game, if you don't like it perhaps being a beta tester isn't right for you.

Also just because one developer said something you didn't like doesn't mean the whole company is like that, there have been many occasions when we have had perfect updates and the PlayStation version has caused huge problems.

 

I've had this happen to me a couple of times, but the majority of the time it was actually just my character was stuck on the last server I went to. (Have you tried going back to the server or your own game and seeing if they are just stuck in the Obelisk
upload?) Honestly, without cheating, my friend and I get everything we need to take on the boss within a week or two. I can appreciate and respect the 2000+ hours you put into the world you have, but honestly, the way the game is, you're eventually gonna finish
and have nothing to do. It's probably for the best (don't get me wrong, I am completely sympathetic with losing all that progress. I hate it when it happens to me on a number of games) you start over. Gives you more things to do. To me it's no big deal to
lose all that progress on a world as I have restarted my worlds several times by wiping my save data (seriously though, hated having to manage game data files just to erase them, and my progress hinders me from getting all the achievements :/) just so I can
start over. I can respect and understand if others feel differently.

Do remember though: it's not the end result that we should enjoy, but the journey to it.
