    I have looked and looked for a solution to being able to invite friends only to a non dedicated session on Xbox. The problem is it sounds like this has been a problem for years and on multiple platforms. And it’s never been fixed. We love Ark but last night some random person came into our non dedicated session just to steal everything and leave. It’s my husband, my daughter, and I playing together and we just want to run a private match that we can invite each other to. (We’re running on an Xbox Series X with split screen and Xbox one separately). Does anyone have an actual solution for this seemingly simple problem?

    Hello Sarah, first be sorry that this has happened, second, this only happened in Ark or another game, I ask this why usually online games you manage to create your group and no one is invited, an example I can mention is Fortnite, you add your friends, create your group and each closes the group and only enters if you are invited.

    Check the game settings for and verify that it doesn't have something similar.

    so you dont care that you cant create a platoon in battlelog < a feature they are heavily promoting> and then face off against a rival platoon, another feature they are promoting in battlelog>

    you just want to form a 4 man squad and hit " randomize me" and never aspire to having 12 friends on xbox live who want to play in your squad?

    Who cares? The majority of gamers are playing in public games anyway. Only a small percentage are in competitive clans that utilize private matches anyway. Get over it, its not the end of the world. Any and all MP game could have no private lobbies,
    and it wouldnt bother me none.
