    just clicked on ark to play and it loads up, but once it gets to the server menu servers don't load up (just says searching for servers and then nothing loads up). I went to check for an update but apparently there'd a 140gb update. as far as I'm aware that's a full game installation, thing is I don't recall uninstalling it either. If this is a full game installation then why did the game load up to the server menus? don't recall anything being added to warrant a 140gb update

    Do I have to download a game I already have?

    If you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription you should be able to download Ark from the Microsoft store for free. You will need to re download through the Microsoft Store in order to play, because you will be on Microsoft's Services and not Steam's.

    You are not able to see Ark installed on the Microsoft store, on the Xbox app and not even by going to Start > Settings > Apps ?

    If you open the Xbox app and try to install Ark again, does it start to download everything from the beginning? I would suggest you to try it since the game may not be recognized as installed by the Xbox app but it is installed. If that's the case, it will download/install in less than a minute.
