Are you thinking of getting Xbox Scorpio as soon as it comes out late this year? Why?

Since Xbox One launched in November 2013, it is likely Scorpio won't get released until late this year aka November-ish.

I am strongly thinking of getting Xbox Scorpio. Reasons why.

    1) Xbox One is too weak. DDR3 RAM, etc. And my day one controller's > button is unresponsive sometimes.

    2) My desktop custom PC doesn't support my Turtle Beach 500X headset. Xbox 360/One does and Xbox Scorpio likely will.

    3) My custom desktop PC only plays Stereo 10-bit through my HDTV speakers. Where as Xbox One and Xbox 360 play Dolby Digital through my HDTV speakers. And I can certainly hear clearly the difference between Stereo Uncompressed, and Dolby, through my HDTV
speakers. Stereo very tin-ny. Dolby I can hear the flavours difference through my ears.

    4) I want to consolidate my entertainment space. I only got PS4 Pro because Final Fantasy XV took 10 years to make and I wasn't gonna wait for Microsoft.............. to get their Scorpio out. I wanted to enjoy visual fidelity now! and PS4 Pro offered that.
It also has A World Of Final Fantasy. But I hardly play A World of Final Fantasy much even though the game looks cute. And those games are not available on PC.

    5) I can trade my PS4 Pro for NZ$400 and Xbox One day 1 edition (but keep my Kinect) easily for NZ$300 since I still have the original box and since it's a limited edition it will sell. In NZ, the day 1 edition Xbox 1 easily sells on trademe a popular NZ
site for NZ$300. Some people are antique collectors and will pay that much. Also I make a good hypotheses Microsoft will launch the console with around US$599 price or roughly NZ/AU$899 at worse.

    6) Xbox also has Kinect, it's my primary console platform which I like. And consoles don't get viruses (genuine reports of genuine Xbox 360/One's getting a virus are negligible, and you don't need to do naughty things to get a virus due to the state of the
Internet Infrastructure). And it offers simplicity. It will allow me to enjoy Final Fantasy XV with higher visual fidelity without having another device (PS4 Pro) so I can simplify my entertainment space.

But then again, things can change. But right now, I'm highly looking at trading in my Xbox One (BUT KEEPING THE KINECT) and PS4 Pro for Scorpio. Or I could have the best of all worlds and keep the competition console since for some reason a lot of New Zealanders
have a sony console. But then again like 90% of NZ'rs have a PC. But trading both would reduce the total cost significantly that I would pay for Scorpio. Scorpio is set to have an approximate cost of NZ$899 in NZ or US$599. And I've watched a recent YouTube
video of Phil Spenser who Microsoft delegated to be boss of Xbox, imply Xbox will be affordable which is good news for kids, teens, students and young adults and parents. Say NZ$899 Scorpio. I sell my Xbox One NZ$300 + PS4 Pro NZ$400 (RRP PS4 Pro from Sony
in NZ is NZ$638). That means I'll pay only NZ$200 for Scorpio approximately when it comes out. Another reason why is so I can play games and watch videos late at night without annoying the neighbors. Even though Microsoft has got a lot of complaints about
the ugliness of a UI that the April 2017 Update brought out, it's still usable. And they update the UI on Xbox One every month anyways. Maybe next month they'll make it even more uglier and just litter it with Windows 10 squares all over the place, just kidding.
Xbox 360 and Windows 10 PC version is way better, less box jargon thingy. But then again it may improve. They have 7 more chances to this year (7 months 7 more updates 1 update per month). And Updates aren't gonna stop. Sometimes it feels we're being spammed
with Updates. Well it is a Microsoft product after all, with it's pro's and cons. Another reason why I'm shifting away from Sony is they do not acknowledge NZ/Australia legal rights in their terms of service. Microsoft however does! in their terms of service.
And Microsoft got Party Chat and Avatars out before Sony. That's why I chose Xbox in late 2010. It has Party Chat where you can play different games and apps especially on Xbox 360 which still has more active people on it than Xbox One does, only because Microsoft
did a really good job with it, PS3 doesn't have party chat only game chat lol. And Xbox 360 has picture and voice messaging. And Xbox Live is a better online service than PSN. More servers. Rich Xbox Live features as evidence from Xbox 360.

Excuse myself but sometimes I like to express myself. Even if it results in a wall of text. Well at least this isn't another I hate Xbox or Why did I get banned, thread.

    :)

Xbox One digital games transfer to Scorpio

    Hello!

I'm thinking of buying Xbox One Scorpio in 2017 when it comes out. How ever, I'm wondering how do I "transfer" all my digital content from my Xbox One to Xbox Scorpio?

Does it happen via cloud? If so, how?

    Thanks!

Have you Pre-Ordered the Xbox One S?

There's no point in getting the Xbox 1 S now, when a much more and far more powerful Xbox Scorpio comes out next year with 320GB/s bandwidth, possibly 12GB GDDR5 RAM, and a faster clocked AMD APU, and 5 teraflops computing power. When Xbox Scorpio does come
out, it will be the most powerful video gaming console which will even rival the competition.

Unless you live in a cramped apartment or house and you don't want a bulky original Xbox 1 console. The Xbox 1 S still has the same limited 68GB/s 8GB DDR3 bandwidth as the original, of which only a mere 5GB DDR3, is available for gaming, the same 1.75Ghz
clocked AMD APU. No point in spending another few hundred dollars on like a smaller replica of the original Xbox 1, which doesn't have a Kinect port. Sure Microsoft has an accessory where you can connect your Kinect to your console, but you do realise you're
just throwing your money at them, right?

I've told my friends considering getting an Xbox 1 console very soon to wait until Xbox Scorpio comes out.

The editor for forum is a bit strange in how it removes space that you had there in the first place, making it a wall of text. You really have to make extra line feeds everywhere for it not to.

Sony - bought a PS3 in 2010 and had it for two years before getting a 360 instead.

    a) Sony handled some firmware updates really bad and when UC3 came about a lot of people got problems with never ending spinning ring and console breaking overall.

    b) Sony threw out good working code for backups, suddenly taking over 16 hours instead of 2.5 hours - just because they need room for Vita code adaption of some sort.

    c) PS4 controller needs charging constantly - will have to play with long usb cable or have multiple controller and shift in the middle of a game. I often play 6-8 hours when I play, which is maybe just an evening every couple of weeks or months even. PS3
    never had that problem.

    d) PS4 Pro - no devs seems to adapt and use the power of this console. No patches for existing or even new games to really use it to potential.

    MS Xbox - got 360 2012 and X1 fall 2016.

    a) I love the 360 to bits - really well thought out in every way. Interface is straight forward, all command options on screen which buttons can be used. Easy to make own backups of gameplay to usb device etc.

    b) X1 - not much good I have to say about it, I'm afraid. Interface is scattered into so many odd places, guide bar and special apps for everything instead of a well thought out interface. I can see the flexibility with apps but it is so buggy and made for
Windows 8 and not working so well on X1 anyway, scaling issues and dialogs not working or even properly seen on screen. And I never seen so poorly designed apps as free software on PC anywhere - every app is a one-job app - and nothing in there. One app for
playing media from usb, and one app for bluray discs - why?

It took some months to figure out and get interface more to liking. But why is there no guide like on-screen-commands so you didn't have to make starting to use it such an uphill battle. BC with 360 games and needing full digital downloads to run - and this
on a machine clearly too weak for the job. The emulator make response slower than 360 console. Everything from games to usb is prohibited - not a single app bridge that - clearly by design and choice for MS to control that. Don't know the reason really - virus
    infection risks or something.

360 is still my goto console, X1 did not bring anything I didn't have before - apart from a few games not released on 360 anymore.

I think it will take 3-4 years to get Scorpio in condition for a purchase for me - both regarding games worth playing and possibly get interface that you can customize fully to liking. And remove limitation like nothing goes towards usb, no game clips or
game saves - you have to use onedrive and cloud stuff for everything as it is now.

If when GranTurismo Sport arrives it does exploit PS4 Pro fully, and sure it will - it might be a PS4 Pro more closer to purchase than Scorpio. I'm not going for anything 4K anyway in the next 5 years or my monitor breaks or something - and even then don't
think it brings anything better in gaming experience. Fluent 60 fps 1080 is more than good enough for normal home environment. I mean gaming is interactive - and things move a lot and your eyes focus on a limited area at a time anyway.

Gaming is not like watching nature and wildlife documentaries where you enjoy sceneries at a slow pace. I recently bought first series on bluray - Planet Earth - which is nice. But you can also see that not the best photo equipment used everywhere - you
could as well use DVD upscaled to 1080p which looks great too. So I was not floored by the bluray thingy, and continue to buy tv-series and films on DVD.

And increase 1080p to 2160p is even lower how eyes can perceive it. And for games - I don't bother one bit. And the difference upscaled 1080 to 2160 to native 4k - is even smaller. So the latest technology in 4K monitors may make a difference more than the
    actual resolution increase.

"I am strongly thinking of getting Xbox Scorpio. Reasons why.

    1) Xbox One is too weak... [etc]"

And with that, I gave up all will to live and threw your thoroughly specious manifesto out the window! Smileskybird, why do you continually *repost* the same facts and figures week in and week out (see also: info-dump) while stubbornly refusing to update
your OWN threads after others have taken the time to reply and added their own facts and figures? (See also: your last Scorpio thread, in which ArminatorX challenged and corrected your long-winded assumptions.)

Xbox One is too weak? NONSENSE. How many Xbox One games have *you* played to completion? In the last month, I've spent 100 hours touring the Andromeda galaxy, clearing out questlogs and starfields with giddy abandon. I was playing on the hardest difficulty
level (Insanity) which meant I struggled for the longest time with game balance. But, as usual, I persevered until all my orders of business were done. In other words, I got my money's worth. I then returned to my previous tour of duty in Ghost Recon Wildlands,
because there are like 27 provinces and each requires a thorough dusting down and sweeping up before I could call it a day. It's a *lot* of work and requires a corresponding amount of time and commitment. Fortunately, I'm in a position to give these games
my undivided attention; therefore I notice the deets.

In respect of performance, and gauging whether or not a game (usually triple-A) is giving my Xbox One a thorough workout in all departments; I notice this too. I'm not blind. When I'm done exhausting the Wildlands, I'll either launch into Prey or install
the new Forza Horizon 3 DLC (Hot Wheels) because I want to extract every last drop of power and performance from my Xbox One. Are you noticing a theme here? Not *once* have I decried the console for being "too weak". Because it patently isn't.

It's the BEST Microsoft console to date, and will only be surpassed by Scorpio. In the future, can you PLEASE refrain from "info-dumping" your thought bubbles on a jaded community? We've heard it all before. You're no longer a bird, you're a parrot! #SorryNotSorry

Finances permitting I will get Scorpio for the reasons.

    1. I love my Xbox and have chosen that as my main gaming console (Even though I own a PS4)

    2. I have a 4K OLED TV and want to see my games in 4K

    3. I can't think of anything else but 1 & 2 are enough to persuade me to get the console all being well.

Not getting one on release as I already have a xbox one that plays games.

That & you know the price will drop within 12 months & it's a Microsoft console so no doubt there'll be some sort of reliability issue with the first lot of consoles.

Day 1 purchase for me. I already have money down on it. I want my games to look as clear as possible. I have a lot of games to play on it right off the bat. I can't wait.

I'm pretty much along the same lines as Daft. It's not enough as a Day 1 purchase for me (unless some new info comes out that changes that), but I'll get one eventually.

From March 3rd to the 31rst they sold 2.74 million Switch consoles...highly doubt Scorpio will move even close to that in the first month. Don't think Nintendo can keep the momentum going for long though.

Took back my Switch after 7 days; not a bad little console, just decided after Zelda "forcing" (Lol.) me to use motion controls in several dungeons, it wasn't for me.

    Peace, J.R.
