    So heres the deal. My lovely wife decided to buy me the Xbox One as a present. Being a pretty loyal fan of the Xbox I was pretty amped on it. Well, what do you know, less than three days later there is a problem with the Kinect. 3 DAYS! So the console
    will no longer recognize the kinect. It just says the kinect is unplugged. I proceed to check my connections, restart the console and what not. Of course its plugged in, the Xbox just apparently enjoys calling me a liar. So... to the internet!! I find
    Microsoft's trouble shooting suggestions and follow them to the t but alas, to no avail. Now its time to place an order for repair.....after 500 dollars and 3 days its already time for a repair. Now, looking at my order status it finally says that the kinect
    is back in route to me. The only trouble is that the anticipated date for this transaction to be completed is nearly a month from the time I started the process. What kind of ridiculous customer service is this?

    So, this is where i stand. When a person spends 500 dollars on such a thing, they expect it to work and they expect it to work properly. They do not expect to not have the ability to use this thing that they spent their money on for a MONTH. They
    do not expect to have to package, drive to fed-ex and ship a component of the console to have it repaired after only 3 days of use.....especially if the cause of the defect is of by no fault of the person who purchased the console. Furthermore, they do not
    expect to have to deal with incompetent customer service representatives who's best answer is to post something in the forums and hope for the best. Absolutely shocking.

    I (and anyone else who has experienced similar problems) deserve some sort of compensation to recoup me for you guys not holding up your end of the deal. Some may argue that its just the kinect and not the whole system so what are you so upset about.
    I mean they're fixing it for free right? Doesn't matter. It is the principal of the matter. While yes I am still able to use the console, it loses certain aspects of it functionality with the missing component. The simple fact of the matter is it doesn't
    work the way its supposed to and I have to wait 1 month to get it into working order after the 500 dollars has been spent on it. On top of that i have to spend my time, my frustration and to a certain extent my finances in order to get it to work the way
    it should have from day one. Compensating me in some way is the least that a decent company would do.

    Wait a character from the one of the best selling series on the DS (Phoenix Wright) and a character so popular that they're re-releasing DR2 with him as the main character (Frank West) are now considered z list?

    Your definitely not alone. My console is currently being repaired. But it will get better online and hardware wise. MS is currently restructuring their leadership positions, and we just gotta play the waiting game.

  5. Well, I really don't think that Microsoft should expect their consumers, especially those who have been loyal to their console since the 1st generation, to sit and play the waiting game. I think they should offer something in return by not meeting the appropriate
    level of quality.

  6. Hi there we as gamers not loyalists knew what was coming with new tech thats getting better by the day. So in stating that i see no need for compensation, they're going to fix it or replace it i find that sufficent enough.

    I am currently getting my Xbox One repaired and the 12-18 days it takes to fix it is way too long. I bought the xbox, played it for about 3 minutes and it crashes. Only crashes when I play a game (Specifically titanfall because it was the titanfall bundle).
    SO for playing the console for a whole 3 minutes and spending more time with support than the actually console, I am disappointed that I have to wait 12-18 business days for my Xbox to be even shipped back to me. Even in Canada, where I am told they don't
    repair it; they just send a brand new one.

    NJDEVILS are you serious? When I got the red ring of death on my first Xbox 360 after about 9 months and they replaced it in less than 2 weeks, that my friend, was sufficient. Even when practically the exact same scenario happened a second time, that
    was sufficient. When what you've spent your money on is broken in less than 3 days and it takes them a month to get it back to you, that is not sufficient...theres a word for what that is but i won't use here out of respect for any children that may read
    this.

    I dont care that its new technology or "we knew this was coming", thats ridiculous. In all likelihood, they were aware of the problems with the technology, the glitches and defects in both the hardware and software and chose to release the product anyway
    and deal with the issues as they were reported. That way they can get there money coming in and rely on the consumers who would just let smaller issues go. And loyalty does have something to do with this, loyal customers are what keep a business in the black
    and able to maintain viability. If your loyal customers lose faith in you product and way of doing business your in trouble. Look at it this way; I seriously have 3 friends right now trying to decide between the XboxOne and PS4. If I feel like I wasn't
    treated right by Microsoft do you really think I'm going to recommend to my friends to get an XboxOne? No. That means by not making reasonable amends for the situation not only do they potentially lose 1 customer, they potentially lose 4. Now factor in
    all the unhappy customers right now with friends.

  9. Omnislash, Im sorry to here that. How's it going to be the TitanFall bundle and crash while only playing TitanFall. 3 minutes of gameplay, utterly ridiculous. You should definitely be recouped for that. Its not like Im saying give us free xbox live for
    life or I want a cash settlement but they should atleast make some sort of gesture, geez.

    to you that would compensate you if necessary. Now you're lucky to get a month of live (worth 5 bucks) if you sit on the phone for 2 hours (multiple times). It's an absolute insult and it's already coming back to haunt them. I hate to say it but at this point
    cell phone/ cable providers actually have preferable customer service to Xbox right now. That's cringe worthy.

    Xbox customer service has been reduced to morons sitting in front of a slow computer, insulting customers and wearing them down so that they never call back. I remember back in the 360 days even during the red ring stuff they had semi-competent people talking
