Are you happy with your Xbox One?

Coming in a little late on this, but I guess it really depends on what you will primarily be using it for. You see I only play games on it, don't use the TV plug-ins or apps, purely to play my games and I love it from that perspective. So much so that I
will never go back to the 360 for any release that's on the Xbox One. Once you get used to that controller and visuals, it's hard to go back.

I also only rarely play or party with others, so whenever there's friends list or party chat issue it never really bothers me because I hardly use it. I understand though how having the social aspects so temperamental can hinder ones experience, something
to keep in mind if your a multiplayer gamer.

I can't comment on how other functions work because I just don't use them, as stated, navigation is very weird at first, but you learn all the little tricks and it becomes easier. I still want my guide back though.

Sorry to double post, missed the edit time, but I forgot to say that yes, I'm very satisfied with the Xbox One. There was a time where the 360 saw more action, now the 360 really only goes on to download the GwG and check deals.

 

Im mainly a single player gamer myself but like the online co-op aspect of some games. I also use it alot to watch foxtel too.

I can understand the visuals and controller being better but thats not enough to get me to upgrade yet. Maybe when there are a few games out I want to play that are not on 360 I will take another look at it.

Yeah I get the feeling all I would use it for is games exclusive to PS4 and not much else.

I guess I failed to say, the main reason I got the Xbox One was because of games that aren't on the 360. So if there isn't any games you want to play, I wouldn't see the need to upgrade either. I'm sure you would enjoy the console though.

I have both 360 and xbox1, hate ps after a really bad run with the ps3.

in the old days i can remember a thread that was 88 pages before the mods took it off, mr duck will rember those days lol

 

It's alright it still has it's issues at times with the party chat not working. The size of games and updates for games are way too big for my liking. I had mine offline for a week and spent most of my evening doing updates.

 

I bought my Xbox One on the first day of release and 2 Games (Dead Rising 3 & Ryse).

Still to this day I am having to Google solutions to fix issues with my console such as:

- Controller turning itself off and on while playing (Both my controllers do this).

- Dashboard lets me navigate around but when I click on Games nothing happens (Have to remove power cable and reconnect to fix problem regularly).

- I have moved my console to a closer location near the air conditioner (My console gets very hot).

- Some of my games are also very buggy (Dragons Age Inquisition especially but alot of the problems that I have Googled for the games were also happening on the PS4 so I'm assuming it was the games that were causing the problems).

Despite all these problems I have had a great time with the console, especially in the last few months now that I know ways to fix these issues temporarily. I have 10 Games now for the console and will continue to collect. Unfortunately my friends have
seen the issues I was having and bought PS4's instead so I will most likely be the owner of both Xbox One and PS4 Consoles so I can continue playing games with them.

 

^Hey mate, just on the having to unplug the console to get things working again, try a power cycle instead, it's essentially the same thing and completely shuts down the console, mine does the same with the auto resume feature, sometimes the console locks
up and a power cycle fixes it, annoying, but easier than unplugging the thing!

I'm loving it so far, been off the consoles for a few years now and have come back to Xbox one. Its been a pretty big adjustment but am slowly picking it all up.

The only minor annoyance i've noticed is the guide button, especially when you're in game chat and you hit the guide to check some acheivments or a message, and it mutes party chat. Very minor, but really the only downside i've noticed so far

Am slowly picking it all up, there is so much to the console that I was a bit overwhelmed with it all at first, but am getting there.

 

Good games are starting to be released but I still find myself playing older games on my 360. It's a bit light on exclusives that make it worthwhile upgrading if you have a PC that can play most games.

 

Yeah, I did notice a lack of games, but i've got such a backlog on 360 that it kind of works out well for me lol gives me some time to go back and play through all the ones I bought but never ended up playing

thats another thing that would make me happier with my xb1... backwards compatability

So just thought I'd weigh in here.

Towards the last six months or so leading up to next-gen release, I jumped over to PS3 basically for PS+ (I think, can't really remember) and I got a PS4 at launch. I think it is a great console. But ended up selling it to go to Xbox One after a couple months,
mainly to play with friends from 360 and friends IRL getting an Xbox One, and I do not regret it at all.

They are both great consoles, both lacking in games at launch (obviously), but honestly now I have a backlog on the One. I really prefer the Xbox Dashboard to the PS Dashboard. I like snapping apps and the way everything works. I *** love using voice with
the Kinect, and I think since launch they have brought out some great updates and are clearly listening to what the customers want.

There are some annoying issues, have trouble with Party chat when playing certain games, but I'm sure this will be fixed in no time.

Honestly, I think it comes down to the exclusives. Bloodborne looks great, The Order looked cool but apparently isn't, Uncharted and Last of Us were sweet, but dat Halo tho.

Hopefully the next update will sort your party chat issues, I know that its a major part of the update and should fix a lot of the problems.

Am itching to get my hands on MCC, is like a halo dream come true! So much halo in one little package haha
