Are you happy with your Xbox One?

Hey guys I, just want to get some feed back from people who own an xbox one. I have heard alot of bad things about the console. I still havent updated from the xbox 360 yet but lately I have found myself looking at the PS4. I know people that are unhappy
tend to be alot more vocal about it than those that are happy with a product so I ask this question to see if the happy/unhappy ratio balances out.

    :)

People keep talking about the UI but I really like it and it's fast enough for me , and the battery display never bothers me, I didn't even notice the 360 showed you how much battery was left, I'd just keep playing until the battery died lol. The only thing
I want to see is how much space you have on your hard drive

But in all honesty, it's best to have both console, both will have really good games you'd want to play.

For a week or so after owning Xbone I thought it was ok but that was before I got a PS4.

    -

Now I am thinking of selling the Xbone, the whole thing seems very rushed riddled with problems. The UI for a start is too slow and sluggish, no offline achievements, no battery life icon for controller, no recent player list, no bio's plus apps like Netflix
and the browser require Xbox Live. Total rip off. PS Plus offers so much more for your money.

    -

PS4 has all these things and does it much much quicker like suspending a game to do something else. Also, where is the option for leaving feedback? Seriously they went on about how great the new feedback system is and there isn't one.

    -

Then there's the controller. My Xbone pad has one stick looser than the other and I know every single one rattles due to the crappy new bumpers. It creaks and feels flimsy with cramp after an hour or so. It's simply the worst Xbox controller I have held.
Garbage. Dualshock 4 feels way more comfortable and has better build quality.

    -

So, that leaves the £430 price tag for an underpowered 720p console with an unnecessary gimmicky Kinect that MUST be included. I think Microsoft lost what direction they wanted so said let's target everyone, kids for Kinect, some gamers and people who want
a Blu Ray player and TV connected.

    -

Maybe when the system actually gets some decent games and a revised controller I will dust it off. PS4 is the much better games console, it's not trying to be everything at once.

Not really much difference in consoles in my opinion. I've been playing Xbox for forever and never played PlayStation so despite Sony doing well with their system in our country I can't really be bothered changing. Even if there is some slight advantage
to a PS4 to a Xbox One. I mainly play PC these days anyway.

The Xbox One at the moment isn't exactly what I was hoping for but I'm sure it will get there eventually.

Yeah consistant with what I have been hearing about the xbox one, not living up to expectations. Still I dont know if PS4 is living up to expectations either. Glad I held off on updating but I am sure there will be a game released that will force me to upgrade
    eventually.

  6. The One is a definite upgrade on the 360 ... but the PSU (power supply unit) absolutely SUCKS and is a let down to the whole package. I've had 3 PSUs ... ALL noisy as in comparison to the XB1. Pretty annoying.

  7. I love the XB1 now, I was hating on it a bit when MS first released it, the party chat system was broke and the UI took a lot of getting used to. Since Phil Spencer took over and with the constant updates the system is now great. With a few more updates
    it should be awesome.

I just don't trust Sony, the fact they had patented DRM for the PS4, but let MS take the heat, to me shows they are sneaky, and they aren't in the best condition financially which could affect the exclusives they are able to acquire down the track.

I just don't like the PS4 controller either and the fact that it only lasts a few hours is horrible, I'm so used to the Xbox controller now, I don't think I could change if I wanted to lol.

Then there was Sony talking up the capabilities of the PS4 by saying it's games will be 1080p and 60fps where in fact hardly any of the PS4's games reach those specs, mind you neither does the XB1.

Then there's the games and for ME XB1 has everything I need, I love my racing games and with 2 Forza games out now and Forza 6 most likely coming this year, there simply is no other choose for me. At this moment MS has better exclusives, and they have some
    good ones in the future.

What has you leaning towards the PS4 Jeff?

I wouldnt say I am leaning towards it but it is an option I am looking at along with the XB1. Sounds like alot of the gripes I was hearing about at release have been fixed which is a good thing.

I am not a fan of the Sony controller either but that wouldnt affect my decision anyway, there are enough after market converters that will let you use you xbox controller on PS.

I guess I am getting ready for a game that is only going to be released on new gen consoles. I still love the 360 and just wonder what besides playing a game with better graphics could entice me to buy one.

i started out not liking mine but as time has gone on i have worked out little tricks here and their and starting to like it.

it will get better in time and as more and more people take it on board online games will get better and developers will get there junk together - so let down with the online code with halo mcc but there are games coming out later this yr are looking better
    and better.

currently mine is stuffed due to Green screen then black screen so got to sort out with ms support.

  10. It's not as smooth to navigate as I'd hoped. But the games I've played look pretty and seem to run well. Halo 5 should see a good online MP community too Are you happy with your Xbox One? :)

Yeah see this is why I dont feel the need to upgrade yet, seems my 360 is doing just as good a job as the XB1. I know though with all the up coming games alot of them are not being made for the 360 so that is why I am looking at upgrading. If they were all
coming to 360 I wouldnt be bothering.

Let me aske this then...........what feature if any, do you like on the XB1 that the 360 doesnt have?

  12. Couldn't really think of one that stands out. I'd be happy if the dashboard and party systems were fast to navigate instead of waiting to load. So yeah if no games interest you you're just paying for a slightly nicer 360.

I like a good online multiplayer so I bought mine for Titanfall and then Destiny. Halo will be a good reason to jump ship, and The Division, and the new Fable.

Wait for a bundle deal that suits your preferred games, they seem to be throwing in everything atm.

For me the one thing that stands out that's not available on the 360 is, well I'm not sure what MS calls it, but when you're finished playing a game for the night you can just turn off the console, and when you come back to it the next day the game loads
straight where you left off with no menu or loading screens.

Also there's the achievement stat tracking app which is great, but not all developers are fully using it yet, but most are.

Thats a good idea not having to waste time coming back to a game, I like that. The division has me interested, it looks good and I think that is only next gen consoles.

As for xbox vs PS, xbox has a massive advantage with price, it is alot cheaper. So that and the fact I am a fan of the xbox is probably swaying me more to xbox. I know next to nothing about the PS anyway, I need to do some research on what it actually offers.

I've had the XB1 for a month now and although the new interface was very annoying when I first got it I'm really warming up to it now. The lack of games is a problem but that will change. The new controllers are great. The best thing about it is the integration
with my other systems - I have the 360 and TV/Foxtel plugged into it and it all works together well. I haven't got the latest update yet but I've heard there are a few more improvements in there...
