Are you finding it hard not buying COD AW?

.... and just to let everyone know, I'm not finding it hard not buying COD AW. I might consider it next year. But if it were a game I loved, I would get it straight way, just like what I did for Forza 5/Horizon 2 Zoo Tycoon and Minecraft.

 

If it has zombies in it I might get it, just like COD BO2 Buried/Tranzit and other zombie maps.

 

Nope...none of these companies are gonna get my "pre" (preorder/preload/season pass) money until I am satisfied with the product; through reviews and/or discussion with people I know that have the game. Just tired of getting the shaft, these companies are
gonna earn my money....no more blind purchases or buying on past behavior. I have lots of patience and will use that to my advantage.

 

I really had fun with MW2, but it was at that point (after I couldn't prestige any more) that I got bored. I'm not a fan of the whole prestige aspect... it has to have an end and after that end, it's b o r i n g. My wife makes some pretty awesome cookies,
so I'm pretty well aware of what a cookie cutter is and does.

I actually got Ghosts just for giggles when I first got my X1. The giggles didn't last long.

Well, I hope I haven't been too vague with my answer to how hard it's been for me to not buy... wait... oh, Advanced Warfare. Sorry, forgot what they called this one.

Yep im treating this game that way. Haven't bought one since BL1, and am still trying to find out the major technical feature of the game. Does it run on Azure Servers?

Not sounding good so far.

 

Stopped buying COD at COD4. I try not to buy cookie cutter games every year. COD just happens to be the worst offender of them all. If it weren't for getting AC4: Black Flag as a gift, I wouldn't be buying AC: Unity this year tbh. If I hadn't skipped Forza
5 I wouldn't have brought Horizon 2 either.

 

^^^other offenders: all the sport franchise games, battlefields, superior mariocart in jungle kong land smash cousins 2, far cry 5, halo 12, final fantasy 37, elder scroll 9, and it goes on and on......

 

I feel ya Davey and I wasn't going to buy Ghosts, but then my brother bought it for me as a gift because he saw I didn't have it. So that ruined that!

This year, I'm going to stick to my guns (gift or not). I'll be curious on the sales figures though!

 

Never been so happy about peer to peer hosting, just found out its STILL peer to peer, it seems the extra development type goes into its looks and not whats important, away I am now very happy I didn't buy it woop woop, and can live without it.

 

I haven't purchased a COD game since WAW. So no its not hard at all to not buy a game that comes out every single year.

For those that don't know the typical COD routine, the next COD will be announced sometime probably in April 2015. ..

 

Im not finding it hard NOT to buy COD because I already know this....campaign is the same as previous games maybe some different faces, maybe some different weapons and maps. but overall all the COD are the same game IMP. and online is always filled with
campers.

 

Not hard to pass this year. At most, I've been buying COD releases every other year. I prefer historical or sci-fi themed shooters, so a little modern or near-future warfare goes a long way with me. The AW trailers didn't strike a chord, so that makes
it pretty easy for me to stretch my COD-buying interval to maybe every third year or longer now. For me, COD is a little like McDonald's. It has a place, but not as a regular diet.
