This made me LOL. Anyone see AngryJoes Destiny review? There was a part where Corporate Commander was addressing the lack of story saying players can go around creating their own stories, thats a cost saving story lololol.

I love Angry Joe's reviews because in my opinion he takes an unbiased look at the games and tells things like they should be said.

On the same note, have you seen a Youtuber named AlphaOmegaSin? He doesn't pull any punches when it comes to the insidious business practices that happends in the world of video games

A word of caution though, Angry Joe and AlphaOmegaSin use explicit language and shouldn't be watched by little kids.

There is no offline mode. Even in single player you must have an internet connection to play.

The Developers took a lot of flack for that from their backers as they only revealed it right before release despite previously promising it as a feature.

 

Im not Jared from Subway there are no little kids here.... too soon ?

It's an everyday lesson.....

Arf !!! I got scanned 3 times with illegal stuffs....And of course,after finishing my jobs,i just leave the area.(Didn't want to spend my money on some taxes).

I thought that they will forget ,usually i got 6 days (in real life) to pay....

And today,i discover that i got 3 bounty contracts on my head.

I think,i will do a big jump far,far away and play low profile for few days...And be more careful,next time.

 

Elite Lesson Learned Early On Part 1

The best ships and tech are found in Industrial and High Tech systems.

So I openned the Galaxy Map, after a bit of trial and error finally managed to filtre it to display High Tech systems and set that as my destination.

Unfortunately objects in the Galaxy Map may appear to be far closer together than they actually are.

Having not double checked the distance I ran out of fuel for my Frame Shift Drive. Meaning I was stuck in the system without faster than light travel. Meaning that I would not be able to reach ANYWHERE less than 9 years.

Aware that the starting ship (thankfully I was still in the starting ship) can be wiped out and replaced for free I figured "Right, all I need to do is fly this thing too close to the sun and let it explode".

Unfortunately... I ran out of fuel before I got anywhere near the local sun.

I puzzled for a bit and then got a message that there was no fuel, no power, emergency life support kicking in... 5 minutes of oxygen left.

During that time I watched the windows begin to frost up, my character's breathing became laboured until they finally died from a lack of oxygen.

Respawned at the starting system, starter ship replaced for free... and having learned a lesson I'll never forget.

Consequences of betrayal sounds quite interesting. Make sure you're sure which side you choose... before you choose.

 

Would inertia not have carried you into the sun? You should have kept going at the same speed you were going before the fuel ran out? Or are physics in the game different to the real world?

 

Inertia would have carried me into the sun.

However as per the moral of the story, "Objects in the Galaxy Map may appear to be much closer together than they actually are", the same is true for actual space.

I simply wasn't close enough to the sun to be incinerated before power and life support ran out.
