are you digital or physical this gen?

kinda leaning more toward digital when they are on sale. For my short list of favorite games, I may go with a physical copy.

The lower cost for digital is already here, just need to look for sales. In Games on Demand I bought several games on Sale that were lower than I'd pay in a game store, most were $4.99 with some for $2.99 and that doesn't include Free Games with Gold.

!00% Digital also ensures revenue goes to the people that actually create the Games in the first place. Plastic Trinkets and bartering are a thing of the past. Now society simply uses a thing called money and pays the person or people for what they want.

Agree with both the above. I'm already all digital on my 360. Switching games is sooo smooth compared to changing a physical disc every time I want to play a different game. I'd never want to go back to physical.

 

Been leaning to digital more this gen. Will probably stay more digital than physical when I get around to upgrading. My disc drive is getting sketchy, and that's usually what goes in my consoles, so I haven't minded going more digital. In a perfect world,
I'd still rather have a disc.

 

when you pre-order a digital game and you can pre-load it, do you download the whole thing or is it just the boxart on the front page or whatever? i ask because my internet is pretty awful and if i still have to wait until midnight to actually download the
game, i'm not actually getting any jump over physical gamers and i won't get to play the game until the next day, if i'm lucky.

 

I prefer hard disc copies. As opposed to digital downloads.

For all I know my Blu-ray Drive doesn't work at all. I have 100% Digital and will keep it this way until Next Gen. Down with the dirty little pieces of plastic that clutter my world.

Yes, you download the whole thing.

 

I go where the cheapest price is these days.

For a lot of games it is still cheaper to buy them on disc rather than as a digital download, this is true of consoles and PC.

 

Digital because I share games between two different consoles.

 

another question; which takes up more space, digital or physical?

follow up; how fast did it take you to fill up the built in 500 gigs? i didn't have enough money to buy a new larger hdd when i ordered my system...

 

Golem: I have something among the range of 8 full release games installed on my hard drive and I'm almost running out of space. Mileage may vary, depending on the games you install, of course. As for what takes more space, it doesn't really matter, as XB1
is quasi-digital.

 

hmm, i've got probably 12-20 games coming my way from the monthly freebies and other deals and whatnot...though i think alot of those are probably smaller indie titles and shouldn't take up too much space, i do have at least 3 full games mixed in there...dang,
i might be having to delete games before i even get 'em...

 

%99 Disc - I have hundreds (Maybe Thousands) of games that don't clutter my World, I have a room for this so I'm kind of lucky to have a decent size house. I do have a few digital but this is still a last resort for me.
