Are you "advanced" enough for this?

I'm advanced enough. Unfortunately I no longer support this franchise and barely the genre because they are all boring to me now.

 

I'm looking forward to the campaign, MP on COD hasn't interested me in quite a while now and nothing I've seen from the new one looks like changing my mind, but as they always say, don't knock it until you've tried it.

I am actually pretty excited for this game. It looks like they have actually tried to change/update some things in order to make it their own version of the game. Can't wait, September through November is going to break my bank, I am very lucky my wife let's
me buy all the games I want.

 

@Galactic Geek - Not sure if I am allowed to link videos here, but if you go on YouTube and search "Bots in Advanced Warfare" and you should see a video with this title ""NO EXO & BOTS!" - Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare MULTIPLAYER! - (COD 2014)".. He talks
about bots near the end of the video stating that they are back, but more advanced then before.

I think the similarities pretty much end there though (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Personally, I like it better in AW, I think because it appears to be more grounded in reality rather than science fiction - the military has actually been testing
suits similar to what you see in AW.

 

Does anyone think the shield could be an annoyence like armour lock?

 

@BENOCIDE - Oh I 100% sure there will be some aspects of the game where something is going to be highly annoying. All CoD's have it, there is not a single CoD I can think of that does haven't an annoyance.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3: Haven't played the game enough to judge, but a lot.

Call of Duty: Ghosts: Underpowered shotguns, terrible knifing, killstreaks seem to be weak when I am using them, but over powered when someone else is using them.

So without a doubt AW will have it's flaws.. hopefully not as bad as some of the Call of Duty's.

 

I agree with aRC about something always being wrong in each game, but not necessarily the same ones he's chosen.

I don't think the shield will be overpowered because it will be easy to hit them from the side via flanking or with splash damage from an explosive. It's also likely that the weight of the shield will slow down their movement, making it easier for enemies
to maneuver around it.

 

Im getting a different vibe with this one I have to say. I still wont pick it up first day but it seems that Sledgehammer are trying to inovate alot more than previous cod devs.

I just hope that the killstreaks are not op and I hope players who play the objective are rewarded more then people who just killwhore to pad their k/d.

I think the solution would be to diable k/d stats in objective games. The person who tops the leaderboard should be the one who played the objective and not someone who just kills.

 

As many times as CoD has changed hands, the fact that Sledgehammer is involved now isn't enough to convince me it will be worthy. I've been sick of CoD MP having that same old game feel a week after release for a long time. I actually got Ghosts for the
SP alone.

It looks like SH is trying to do something better with it... it even looks more appealing [to me] than a CoD title has for quite awhile. But then again, as has been mentioned already, as I watched the video I said to myself 'CoD: Halo Reach Edition'. I'll
probably end up renting it, at least for the campaign... but the biggest problem AW has, IMO, is TMCC...

 

And all this time I was thinking all the other FPS games were chasing COD, seems they were being chased by the one they were chasing.

I reluctantly preordered this at gamestop. I figure atleast the campaign will be decent. I also got a preorder code for destiny with the AW preorder.
