Are You Actually Getting A "Season Pass" for "Destiny"?

So if you buy the "Special Edition" you get a "DLC Pass"

But is this a season pass or just simply a pass that gives you access to the first 2 DLC's they receive.

The "Special Edition" / "Limited Edition" comes with twice the price tag... but is twice the price tag justified?

Wha...? Seriously had a blank moment there when I read that. You PAY for the Season Pass, therefore you are BUYING the three mission packs... you are NOT getting them for free and you DO get a discount by buying the Season Pass instead of paying for them
all individually.

Having the season pass does not mean you are getting the best deal.

 

i'm getting the special edition, i'm hoping that that the DLC will have more content than the usual DLC from most games, and the only reason i think this is because Bungie is referring to the DLC as expansions instead of DLC. a guy can dream, right?

 

I have the Ghost Edition payed off. But I have never been so skeptical of a Collector's Edition purchase

 

I'm keen to see how the final game plays out before I shell out for more. I will most likely buy the pass by itself down the road.

 

If I were to purchase Destiny, I would not buy the season pass. I hardly ever buy DLC and hate to shell out cash before I know the content is worth my money.

IMO its a HUGE slap in the face to all gamers to tell us we have extra content we are holding back to milk you of more money in a couple of months.

 

It's called an expansion pass and yes (covers 2 expansions)

 

I disagree 24. I don't believe in this case it's hiding back content from the release game. the beta alone proved there will be enough content in the game to begin with to keep me entertained for a while. As I enjoyed that I am purchasing a Season pass as
I would like the expansions to the game which I'm sure are still unfinished at this point in time. I would however never purchase BF premium again and as much as I enjoyed Titanfall I didn't buy their season pass either. If I'm content with the base maps of
a shooter I feel no need to buy extra ones.

Destiny will have extra maps but the DLC will be expansion the PVE part of the game which I'm more interested in than PVP with this game.

Best extra DLC of recent times that I purchased was Bioshock Burial under the sea. The best!

 

Nope. i'm getting the game only. regualr edition. I won't be playing it anymore by the time DLC comes out.

 

I'll be getting the best digital edition available, which as far as I'm aware, comes with it - so I have nothing to worry about.

My fave DLC of the last several years has to be... The Gears of War 2 Ultimate Map pack super sale. £4 it was, and it came with every Gears 2 map pack. Beautiful.

 

Best DLC of last gen would have to be "The Shivering Isles" for "Oblivion".

THAT was an expansion.

There's not really enough information about "Destiny" to make me want to shell out for a "Special Edition" which sees me pay twice the price of a standard game for 2 DLC Expansions and a bunch of post cards when they might simply release an Expansion Pack
that gives you the Expansions for cheaper.

 

Exclusives and DLC have become an joke!

 

Dragon Age: Awakening was amazing DLC. As well as Dragon Age 2's Legacy. I am certain the Season Pass for Destiny's is going to be worth it in the long run with the alleged support and longevity this game is supposed to have. They have been talking up
quite a bit.
