Are xbox live retail game deals even deals?!?

Looking at some of the Season of Xbox deals and it seems the only time there are good deals on games is if they're indie/arcade games.

For instance everywhere you go to buy call of duty advanced warfare, it's $60. Standard price. On xbox live it's 25% off. Sounds like a good deal, right? Well at 25% off it comes out to $59.99 which means xbox live had it priced at $80 and it's the normal
version. Then there's L.A. Noire 75% off. I figured it's gotta be only $2.50 to $3.00 right? maybe $3.75 which would be a $15 retail. Nope $7.50 which means they have it originally priced at $30....you can get it brand new on amazon for $10 with free shipping....
Red dead redemption same price, the game of the year version is only $20 and on xbox live all that extra DLC too would cost you another $30. Why can't discount a normal price?

It's like going to a car dealership sale where all cars are 25% off but you notice every car is somehow 30% higher priced so they're still making MORE money while you think you're getting a better deal.

360 has good deals because it's all older games and the console is like 9 years old. The xbox one isn't even a year old and you guys are already asking for 75% discounts on retail games? and even FREE mainstream retail games? wtf?

Why didn't you just order it from Xbox Live market place Games on Demand?

You get the same deal as the retail stores.

 

They take the percentage off the recommended retail price.

 

What is the recommended retail price though. I don't even see those prices at retail stores anymore for those games like Best Buy, Target Etc...

 

I should say who is the one that decides that. or when it changes because Whoever things L.A. Noire should be selling for $30 is the ONLY one who things that and should be fired lol
