    The 360 servers have not been shut down and there has never been an official word on if/when they would be shut down, only rumors.

    Does it give any kind of error message when you try to connect? Being used, it's possible it could be banned.

    Thanks for the quick reply! As it turns out, it was just my router having issues, but thanks anyways. I am now able to connect to Xbox live, and its good to know the servers are not getting shut down anytime soon. Have a good day!

    Microsoft just added Backwards Compatibility to the Xbox One where you can play an increasing amount of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.

    It'd be silly to invest A LOT of money to make old Xbox 360 games run on the Xbox One, and then shutting down the online service.

    So rest assured, that you should be able to use Xbox 360 games with working Xbox 360 Live servers for quite some time still.

    There are servers shut down for some games, but overall the 360 servers are still up.
