Are updates for Xbox 360 games, at least some, taking a REALLY long time?

I've just been noticing that a lot of games, especially if you haven't played them in a while, take an
extremely long time to update.



I don't know if this is because players haven't updated their game recently, or if something is happening.

If anyone is having this problem, feel free to respond with solutions or feedback.

Updates

Really had enough of buying a game for Xbox one and then finding it has a massive update before I can play the game on the disc.

When your Internet broadband is as slow as mine and you find out you have to install a 20gb update it is taking the ***!!!!

Where is the advantage over the 360?

At least when I put a disc in my 360 I can play it the same day!!!!

Next gen my ***!!!!!!

 

Everything running sloooooow since update

Hello folks

Since the most recent update my xbox 360 is creakingly slow.

The home screen takes twice (at least) as long to appear, then in turn Games are taking longer to load. Accessing the market place takes an eternity and trying to use an app like youtube is just a no go.

For the net based problems, I've checked and double checked my network settings and everything is a ok, and my internet connection speed is upwards of 9 Mbs.

Any ideas folks?

A couple of things you can try are clearing your cache
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache & deleting your profile ONLY & redownloading it.

It might be worth checking your internet connection to make sure everything is running ok on that end.
