Are Ultimates coming along soon?

I herd they mentioned about adding more stuff to the combo system in KI, I'm very curious about No-Mercies as that had not been mentioned yet. I know Shadow Jago did his Ultimate but I hope we'll be getting some news or at least some footage of it if possible.

So how are the maps and game play coming along?

 

Yea i was abit dissappointed none of the finishers were shown off with tj but theyve only been working on the game for about 2 months so you cant blame them and they did say they know people want it, maybe at evo

 

that's true =3 I'm not complaining' I just want to be sure they don't forget lol.

 

I'm not even sure they will come when the game launches, to me at least I don't think they will have enough time

 

Since Shadow Jago has one, yes we can expect Ultimates at some point, but I really wish they weren't being made.

For me all this cheesy, non-gameplay stuff like Ultimates, No Mercies and Stage Finishers achieve nothing but tickling someone's nostalgia. I would rather every second of time IG had to spend on S2 went into characters, gameplay and modes.

It makes me shudder every time someone asks them to waste their time on this sort of nonsense.

 

TJ Combo doesn't even have his Ultra at the minute unfortunately so no one knows, Outside of IG of course. I think it's a safe bet too assume they're on their way. Especially after seeing how cool shadow Jago's looks. Although that was implemented from DH
and not Iron Galaxy... I imagine they would have had a say on the inclusion though. Fingers crossed!

 

Why do people want these things over, say, getting new characters and modes quicker or having more resource for bug fixing.

IMO the only consideration until the cast is up to at least 24 should be getting the next 8 out and getting the third season out as soon as possible afterwards.

Every pointless bauble that happens entirely outside of gameplay like finishers is wasting resource and slowing everything down.

 

@stefraki to be fair Ultra combos are pretty much the same in that they are there to just tickle your feel good feeling, you can do these by just knocking your opponent with a simple kick and call that a day if ya want, by that logic Ultras didn't have to
be in either but they are.

To me this is more than just nostalgia dude: Ultimates give you options other than doing the same Ultracombo OVER and OVER again, it gets dull after awhile. It never hurts to have different ways of finishing off your enemies even if it doesn't effect the
whole gameplay mechanics at all it's still fun to watch and I feel that they shouldn't forget this feature while they cover the bigger stuff.

I'm not concerned about new characters because they're a given, they'll come along as this stuff rolls along. And bugs don't always go unnoticed anyway there's always gonna be people reporting this stuff when they come up.

Ultimates add options and I love having different ways of killing my opponent from the usual Ultra or weak normal attack. It's just good to have options. It's not a priority I understand but IG's priorities like new characters and stuff are already gonna
happen, so why worry about it? If some changes have to be made we can tell em, simple as that.
