Are things getting better for the xb1?

It will be 2 yrs since the xb1 has been out. Has ms fixed the disc drive problem on the xb1. It seems it's not as bad when the console came out. I hope the xb1 console gets better in terms of being more reliable. But hey all electronics have problems
right?

why xbox shouldnt be free

That was my attempt and getting my point across. I'd rather pay for better support than pay for access to things that are free on PSN.

 

Getting Better

I've noticed much fewer lag issues today--although it started off awfully, the lag and lag comp seems to get better as the day goes on. I've also noticed YY is a bit different, a bit more like what I expected.

Still more to go but I'm excited about today's developments, it's going in the right direction and the game is much, much more enjoyable than yesterday.

 

Not sure. Honestly, I did not know there was a disc drive problem. I read a lot of gaming news and never saw it so I must have missed it. And I have 3 consoles and no problems at all. So I really had no clue. If they have a drive problem I sure hope
they fixed it already. Lucky for myself and others I know with the One there have been no problems for any of us. Glad I dodged that.

And yeah, all electronics have some failure rate. I had my Wii disc drive die early and again later out of warranty and had to replace it myself. I had a kindle tablet that had a charge port problem right from Amazon. Same with the first Nexus 7 I had.
I had an expensive SSD die within a week and had to RMA. Not to mention my first PS4 would get hot and shut off. And my LG Smart TV seems to not want to stay connected. Had problems with the internal wifi just dropping for no reason. Firmware updates
have done some to alleviate but still a problem sometimes.

 

I've had my xbox one since launch and other than needing a hard reset and my Kinect working when it decides it wants to, I haven't had a problem.

 

There really isn't any major reliability problems. You will alway's get some dodgy units when millions have been sold, and people always shout loudest when they have a defective console rather than one that works fine.

 

Ahhh, another ambassador who does not really have a clue. Lot's have changed in the nearly 2 years. Maybe you can try google to find out more.

5 didn't work and the world ended.

 

I have owned my Xbox One since the day it was released and have yet to use the disc drive for anything. Hell, mine could be broken, but I'd never even know it.

 

I don't know if this is the disc drive problem he is referring to, but I have to hold my disc until its pulled for a few seconds or it doesn't recognize that I have inserted a disc. I know of at least one other person who has this problem. It didn't start
happening to me until a few months ago, but it has me a little worried my drive might go out.

 

The disk drive problem I am talking about the grinding noise where u put the disk into the drive and it makes the noise. I am not trolling here I am just asking a question that's all.

 

You should stop trying to shove a Disk into a Disc Drive maybe? Try a Disc and it should be fine.

 

I can honestly say I haven't heard of that problem. I can guarantee though, if it was a massive problem, this forum would be full of complaints by now.
