Based on the games you've played, you have a potential 50k gamerscore. And theoretically you could come across someone who has unlocked every achievement for every game they've played, but you won't. Even the people who come close are few and far between.
Most likely someone with same amount of played games will be in the general vicinity of your gamerscore. For example, you don't ever go for achievements. You have been adamant about that. Yet you have 675 points in Farcry 3. 600 in Red Dead Redemption. 805
in Forza 3. And significant scores in several other games. You weren't going for them, they just unlocked as you were playing the games. Keeping you in the general vicinity of others who have played the same amount of games as you. If you see someone with
vast difference in gamerscore, that person has played larger variety of games than you. Note: I said amount of games. Not time spent playing.

Not really sure how long they will stay. But if the 360 limited consoles are any indication you should have time. It is no guarantee though. Basically if you can get it now you really need to decide how much the color means to you and if it is worth $50+tax.

 

Ah GG I think most of us have a pretty good idea of what achievements are and what they are for. The question is do you think gamer score is an indication of how much of a hardcore gamer you are?

 

Yes but there are people out there who do go for the scores. Just because I don't doesn't mean the same can be said for others. So potentially some could have less games than me and still have a higher score.

Yes, I covered that. The difference in number won't be that significant. The kind of person who would use that to claim they are more "hardcore" than you, is going to do that regardless of gamerscore.

 

So at the end of the day most people don't think that gamer score is any indication of someone skill or how much more of a gamer they are? Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a bit of common sense around here!

 

Before I would never really pay attention to gamer scores for myself...... but now I track them, see what it takes to get some.... like Peggle.... I was bound a determined to get the 100 Peggle master achievement....

At the end of the day 200 or 200000 Gamerscore really means nothing..... but I am always fascinated when I see people with 6 digit GS.....

 

I agree that it is amazing that some people get certain achievements. Some games on the hardest levels are crazy hard and it takes some perseverance to get through it and a lot of patience.

 

Gs a measure of skill or how much of a gamer you are? No not in my opinion.

You know exactly what context I called you gs into question over though dufful and it had nothing to do with either.

 

I'm pretty sad gamer look at my score and this tag has 7 almost 8 years lol. But I played mostly multiplayer and it wasn't always easy getting achievements in multiplayer. Never went for achievements much in singleplayer either.

 

^ I made the mistake of creating 3 profiles as a silver, and just randomly playing as them on different days (on my 360, before I had solid internet).... some of these silver profiles I created have 4800 GS....... I wish I could transfer them to this
account..... it's my fault for not paying attention... or caring at the time.

 

No duffel GS is not a meter to judge who's more hardcore. I have been trolled about my GS by some of the regular sdf trolls here and it doesn't bother me. I am primarily an online multiplayer gamer and as merlin stated achievements are harder to get there.
Also might I add there just isn't a whole lot of achievements to earn while playing multiplayer with the exception of titanfall.

 

It depends on the game first. Some games require a lot of time to achieve the achievements and others not so much. As for CoD, most people only bother with the MP side of it which will of course give them very little in the way of gamerscore.

Now I don't know about a 'badge of honour' or anything, but there's people out there that take it pretty serious and like to accomplish a game in the for of achievements and gamerscore. I personally think that it doesn't make you anymore of a gamer than
the next person.
