Are there benefits of having two Xbox one consoles?

I have two grandsons who play Xbox One with me. Is there any benefit in having two Xbox One consoles for when they are visiting? Not sure how or what to ask, but are there advantages to playing games together on separate consoles when both consoles are
    in the same location?

    :)

    2 free games a month?

I was wondering if the two free games a month benefit for the 360 would carry onto the Xbox One. How it was put ,it could go two ways. Until the end of this year, the two games a month dies when the Xbox one comes around. Or the Xbox One would carry on the
benefit of having two free old games a month onto the new console. I am confused. Thank you for your time.

Only benefit I can see is the extra digital copy of a game that does not have split screen.

  5. BC 360 games, such as Borderlands (great game btw) playable via system link. Not so great via XBL as w/o dedicated servers, now extinct, the game glitches and thus is unplayable.

But ya don't need 2 X1 consoles, just 1 and a xbox 360 as well as a Cat 5e crossover cable.

System link is the greatest for local play. But devs this gen, to their shame, excluded it.

  6. If you have more than one person who wants to play games on the console, I say get 2. They're cheap
IMO anyways. 2 consoles make sense. More than 2 don't
IMO since you can't share digital games with more than 2.

It would depend on your wants. I have two because of playing in separate rooms; if they release a more powerful system, probably going to get a third.

    Peace, J.R.

Yeah, you'll have a spare if 1 breaks.

If you want to coop games with no splitscreen, get 2. If you find a second one super cheap, get 2. Otherwise I can't see why you'd need 2 of the same console unless you're one of the people who can't wait a day or two to get a new console if one breaks.
(Unless we'd be talking about a console that isn't being manufactured anymore.)
