are their any routers that allow open nats with multiple consoles for fibre?

Recently switched to bt infinity fibre never had problems on the talktalk hardware but not the home hub 5 won't allow us to both have open nats we are both on moderate, from what I have read it isn't possible to have them both open on this modem so is there
any which do allow such? Preferably without any tweaking?

    thanks

    :)

    Losing connection while in game.

    Hi,

It sounds very likely to be a limitation of the router itself.

Most routers will allow two Xboxes (or an Xbox and Games For Windows PC) to connect at the same time, one with an Open NAT the other with moderate or strict

Some routers will allow two Xboxes (or an Xbox and Games For Windows PC) to connect at the same time, both with an Open NAT

A few routers (I find these are usually Belkin) sometimes boot multiple Xboxes users from the network when they are used at the same time (this sounds like you)

Xbox you are losing your touch!

The vast majority of problems are caused by people owning crap routers with poor UPnP support.

This is especially a problem if you own both a 360 and an x1 as you get mapping conflicts which cause NAT problems.

People get routers given to them by their ISP's. These routers are often crap and have broken UPnP.

Because of this, they strict/moderate NATS or teredo errors then they blame their games console.

If you don't want any problem you should only buy routers that are confirmed to be able to handle multiple games consoles at the same time.

Not sure where you read that,i don't use BT but have friends who do & they can all run multiple consoles on a home hub 5 with open NATS no problem.

    Maybe there's some help here

    Moderate Nat Type

@mister fizzle high sorry to high jack the thread but I am curious as I have been suffering with my nat going from open/moderate and strict. I have a Home hub 3 so am on BT and with fibre so have an open reach modem. I ran the test you requested and pressed
bumpers/triggers and it says in Detailed NAT information "Your network is behind a port-restricted NAT".

    -

So can you please explain what this means? is there anyway of keeping an open nat with this router (remembering I have 360's in the house also needing to connect to live with open nat like they always have done)? If not why not with the one? if I have to
invest in a different router which do you recommend i buy that will work out of the box with multiple consoles in the house all needing open nat.

Thanks for any info you can give.

    Connection Problems.

with multiple console you are going to want to make sure ALL ports are open that can be for your router, and as well, that the NAT type is open with multiple xbox's going off of the same router.
