Are the unbundled units about to disappear now?

Is this going to be like 360 where the holiday bundle(s) release and it becomes impossible to get the damn thing by itself without the bundle ever again? The 360E 250GB is never in stock anymore, only holiday bundle or spring bundle. All I want this year
is Halo MCC. No Kinect, no NFL BS. They just announced this stupid NFL bundle, and I need to know if I should pickup a kinectless console before the bundle releases at the end of the month. I don't need the damn thing until November, so it's just going to
sit here and waste my warranty.

Why microsoft still uses the optical unit?, when they have usb port, games will be faster, larger and have better graphics, and won´t broke if you move the xbox console while playing, so start making games for usb port without limits, in flash memories
or whatever. “Optical units are about to disappear”.

This is not normal behaviour. You do not have to hold on your disk as it stresses the drive mechanism. If you insert the disk normally it doesn't work? You have this problem with every disk?

 

You would have to ask retailers that question. I however have never not seen just a regular xbox 360 available in a store. Maybe you should widen your search for consoles if all you can find is unwanted bundles.

 

Amazon, Gamestop, and Newegg disagree. Neither one has the 360E 250GB by itself. They only stock the bundles. The units by themselves are only available through marketplace sellers.

 

so you are buying an XB1 just for ONE single game? with no desire to play any of the other games that are free or cheap or use any of the other options and features the XB1 has.. with or without the kinect?

I put 230 DAYS playtime on Reach. Why not? Are you nuts? The optical drives on the new ones don't even last, from what I hear. Why the hell would anyone buy MS hardware used? I'm getting the Gamestop replacement plan, so if the damn thing quits on me, I
can walk in and walk out with a brand new one. If I have to get it early to avoid the stupid bundles, I might check out the freebies, but I'm not wasting my time with a console where every game gets 10GB updates. I hate where I live enough without waiting
for those on every game. All I get here is 3MB DSL, and I can't move for a while. I wanted Dead Rising 3 before, but after hearing about the update sizes, I'll pass just on principle. It's ridiculous. I'll pick up Wolfenstein and Sniper Elite 3 on 360 to add
to my 550 game collection on there, and only get what I have to on XB1. Maybe I'll go PS4 for multi-plats next year after the Order is out and I'm bored with Halo, if I get bored with Halo.

Maybe talk to a local Gaming store--- see if you can preorder a bundle that fits your needs...

There should be plenty for everyone.

Well, NoLifeDGenerate I would buy one now. You'll probably find a normal bundle no problem, but still I'd buy it now. You might find something you like. There are some decent games.

 

This may be moot point for you cuz as far I've seen, all your progress, ie GS, unlocks, levels, exp. etc will not carry over to the MCC...you will start at zero, no matter how many hours you've put in...sucks but just FYI

Like I said, the only game I want is Halo, and I already have that paid for. I don't want a stupid bundle. The only useful thing they could do in my case, is offer a spare controller with the bare bones console.

 

You could always trade or sell the bundled games and put the money towards a new controller or accessory?
