Are subscription savegames available on a different version of the same game?

Hello! Recently i l've been playing AC Odyssey using my xbox game pass for console subscription. Today it has expired and i am thinking of buying the game, but the game that is on offer now is a different version (deluxe edition) than the version of the game i played on my game pass subscription. My question is, will my savegames be available on the version i want to buy or do i have to start it from scratch? I've been playing a while and i am mid-game now, i dont want to lose all progress. Thank you!

Yes, your progress is saved no matter the game edition as long as it is the same game

As the others said, only Play Anywhere titles will share savegames between Xbox and PC versions of the game.

For example Gears of War or Forza games on the PC share the savegames with the Xbox Version. For a complete list check https://www.xbox.com/games/xbox-play-anywhere

Games that exist both on PC and Xbox and are NOT on that list do not keep your Xbox and PC savegames in sync.

Savegames and license for the game are 2 different things.

You can mantain your savegames, dont worry about that.

If the game you deleted was a Xbox One game, then your savegame data should be safely stored online in the Xbox Cloud, unless you chose to delete the savegame data from "all" consoles.

If you only deleted the local savegame storage, simply launch the game (after installing it, if necessary), and then let the console synchronize your savegame from the cloud.

If there is a conflict about the local savegame and cloud savegame, make sure to choose the cloud version in the confirmation dialogue.
