Are some Xbox One games secretly not backwards compatible?

That's odd, nope. All the Xbox one games are backwards compatible with Series X/S consoles

This can be a bit dumb, but are you using the correct account? / Are you able to see those games redeemed in your account using the Microsoft account order history?

**Make sure to filter by "all available"

Do you not have more than one account registered in your console?

Also, double check this inside Settings > Account > Included with this Xbox

Huh... it's not in my order history, but it's on the One X despite it being only my account on there. Any reason as to why that might be?

there is a (growing) selection of Xbox 360 games that are supported on the Xbox One, which can be found here:

Alongside with some other details and limitations/requirements to the backwards compatibility

Keep in mind that any 360 games that require an accessory, like the Kinect, will not be backwards compatible.
