Are in-game screenshots that I take publically available?

So I tend to take a lot of screenshots when I play on my Series X. A few days ago, I purchased Cyberpunk 2077, a game that contains nudity. At some point, I took a screenshot that happened to contain nudity and received a 3 day suspension for this. I'm a little bit confused because I was under the impression that screenshots I take on my Series X that are uploaded to my account are private? If this is not the case, is there a way I can make my profile private so I can take whatever screenshots I please without fear of getting suspended? I never shared any screenshots with anyone and I checked my public profile online and didn't see any way that anyone could have seen my screenshots, but maybe I missed it. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. This is odd because I've made no account changes and recieved the suspension without sharing or distributing the image in any way. I think they made have changed something because I don't see how anyone could have viewed my screenshot unless it was public. Thanks for your help.

I exclusively play offline so I'm not sure why anyone would report me. Anyways, I appreciate your help!

Another thing could be that enforcement team received a previous report from you and this was just a bad timing

(But this is just a supposition)

Let's hope this not happen again Mauro, and remember you can submit a case review if the suspension is longer than 24 hours

Yes, usually screenshots taken on your console are uploaded first privately

But just in case try changing your profile privacy settings to avoid something similar in the future:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.

Select the Child, Teen, or Adult default settings, or customize your settings by selecting View details & customize.

Select Contact preferences to choose whether you’d like to receive offers from Xbox

Also, check your feed. For this simply go to My Profile on the console and select the Social tab

Hello nnooggoodd,

To take a Screenshot:

1. While in game double tap the Xbox Button

2. When the home screen appears press Y

Note: if you do not get the option to take a screenshot after double tapping the xbox button you may need to reinstall Game DVR and/or your profile.

To save a Screenshot:

1. Open the Game DVR app

2. With the screenshot you with to save/share press the menu button and select save/share from the menu

Note: After taking a screenshot there is a delay before the screenshot can be saved or shared. During this time you will not see these options available.
