Are games and downloads region free?

As above, I have a xbox account that was created in the UK however I'm living in the US for a while.

I want to buy buy the digital copy of halo 5 from a US based store, and play it on a US xbox using my UK xbox account

Is this possible?

Gears of war 4 promo codes for other games 2 out of 4 not working.

The games are region locked. In order to download them, your account region has to match your physical location and you have to live in a region where the games are available for download. Since Estonia is not a support region, the games are not available
for download there.

That's usually the sign of a region issue. What region are you in and what region is your account set for?

Those games are region locked, so in order to download, your account region and your physical region have to match and you have to live in a region where the games are available for download.

Depends on your payment method though, if you have a US card you can use the US store. If you still use your UK cards, you'll need to get them from the UK store.

All physical games on Xbox One are region-free. You'll be fine buying games from elsewhere, although language may change depending on where you buy the game.

Even download codes should be region-free. As long as the game is available in your region's Store you should be able to redeem the code and download the content.

I cannot download this game and Rainbow Six because it is region locked. Please give free games that are not region locked.

It will be a region issue, you can not download anything in a region that doesn`t match your account or console.

Some people actually got permanent bans for downloading free games from different regions.

Change region to United States and download from free to play games from game store.It worked for me downloading now..
