Are game previews long enough?

A new feature that allows players to pay for access to games while they are still in development, acting as beta testers whose feedback might shape the game's ultimate form.

This is a feature which has been available for some time in the world of PC games and through services like Steam, where it's called "early access."

But is a 1 hour long preview really enough? i feel 6 - 24 hours would be enough time to make an educated decision on a game, before funding it's development.

If you buy a game when it's in preview then you don't have to pay again when the game is fully released.

If i buy a xbox one game preview for example Astroneer. When the game official releases will i get to keep the game or will i have to buy the regular release even tho i payed 30 dollars for the preview?

I think so as 9 times out of 10 I know almost instantly if ill like a game. Just my opinion.

Now it happens almost immediately when I play and lasts long enough to make the game completely unplayable. I did a few hard resets to clear the cache and nothing helps. I am a preview member with a physical copy.
