Are donations deductible?

Donations and charitable contributions are tax deductable......

I am 100% with you. Typical Microsoft ***. Wii does the same thing. So we donate $.50 to a charity and Microsoft gets a deduction with IRS. How nice for them. Calculate it by a few million users and you will get millions of dollars going to Microsoft's charity.
Look at it this way, sooner or later an attorney will catch up with this practice and file a law suite that Microsoft will have to pay damages for this practice.

Anything help and it goes directly to the hospital. You can use credit or paypal. It doesn not go to me it goes directly to the hospital and any little bit helps.

Yeah, this is exactly it. I know there was some activities on rewards a while back that also gave you some points for making donations. But now it just seems that Microsoft will match whatever you donate i.e. donate $5, Microsoft donate $5 making it a
$10 donation.

They aren't interested in the donation. They are interested in people buying points, whether they donate them or not. Some people may buy MSP just to donate.
