    Okay so the simple matter is every elite series 2 Controllers A button very specific that you have to hit it dead center and pretty specific for it register?

    Now the long backstory and explanation.

    I ordered an elite series 2 controller, new from the Microsoft store online. When I received it the actual controller box was unsealed and part of the controller grip was caved in on itself. Contacted support told them this they said send it back we will replace it. But for me to do so I had to either send controller first and pay for my own shipping, or BUY A WHOLE OTHER NEW ONE and pay for shipping and then send them the old one back then once they received it they would refund me. Also paid for expedited shipping on these, took 2 weeks to get new controller when paid for like 2day or 3day shipping, same thing controller packaging was not sealed, not plastic wrap, or little seal nothing . So just thought to myself "must be new thing for covid". Immediately controller had little issue, same as I stated at beginning. So told myself I'll just wait until it becomes a problem bc I just paid over $200 dollars for this thing I wanna use it. Used it for a couple of weeks, and then A button thing got more and more annoying got to where I couldn't hold down the button without it unregistering it and re-registering it. And started to get stick drift in L joystick. Called support told me take all parts of print out shipping label send in they will give me replacement. This is when I start receiving "certified refurbished" controllers. Just controller in blank box wrapped in bubble wrap.

    2 more weeks or so after shipping off mine get replacement, same thing A button kinda picky but not as bad. RB kinda has some registering issues. Same mentality I'll wait until it becomes a problem, wait A button gets worse, RB gets worse, and now LB starts having issues. Send it in wait and 2 weeks or so get replacement. Get new one A button still a tiny bit weird but also notice something new. When I click in the josyticks (L3, R3) and keep them clicked in and try to rotate the stick it was catching and felt like grinding in each cardinal direction like on each specific axis points. And when they are pressed forward in about the 11oclock position, doesn't register or allow me to click in. Call support tell them all of this they say no one should have this kinda experience they give me expedited shipping on new replacement. Send it back immediately, has weird shipping issues get replacement in about week and a half. A button possibly worse I've had, same joystick issue as before but not as extreme.

    So I've never received a "sealed new product" and have had the same issues with every "certified refurbished" controller they send as a replacement now I'm getting close to the end of my warranty and I am considering if it's worth it to send it back in for another replacement or what. Like is this ridiculous or no? 5 controllers, never sealed ALL HAVE ISSUES. and Its not like I'm putting them through the wringer I keep them put up in the case when I'm not using them and never thrown, squeezed, raged, or anything like that with em. So please anybody help because at this point it's going past ridiculous and straight for insanely ludicrous that this keeps happening.

    My warranty ends on 3/25/22, and I also received an email from customer support earlier today asking if everything was fixed and working fine. Which I replied to with a similar message. Like my biggest concerns are

    1. That the "A" button is just always like that on every controller

    2. That my next "replacement" controller will have same issues, better or worse condition.

    3. I have NEVER received a sealed product with no plastic wrap or pull tab seal like on all other controllers, or unboxing videos I have seen.

    4. I have waited longer to have a controller than actually had a controller on sending them back and forth, this is my 5th controller I believe and every single one has had the A button issue, and then other issues that have differed.

    i have the elite controller series 1 and elite controller series 2 and the only thing interchangeable is the D-Pad IE:- if you want the silver one form the elite controller series 1 onto the series 2 ... the under trigers and thumbsticks are of a different
    designs so will not fit .... i have just got both elite controllers out to make sure i am right in what i am saying

    Xbox elite series 2 problems

    I have had both the elite controller and also the elite series 2.

    Issues with both are quite bad considering the cost of the things. The elite series 2 controller has left stick wandering issues, the a button is sometimes non responsive, the bumpers sound really tacky and the rubber comes away from the plastic body where
    you grip.

    I have gone through 3 elite series controllers (thankfully Game exchanged them each time) and am on the fourth now and it has the exact same issues as the other three, with the acception of the rubber coming away, not had it long enough for that.

    To sum up, I am very unhappy with the controller, so much so I am at the moment using an elite series one that has had all the rubber removed, its a bit uncomfortable but this said controller has no other issues.
