Are achievements relevant in 2019?

Nowadays it is a matter of taste and sensation for the player to have their games at 100% but what you mention about the game pass does not encourage if you are wrong in fact right now in the rewards app if together 10,000 gamescore games translates into
points that you can change for real money, for me that app and making achievements now is relevant, of course there are tasks or missions that are boring or just the game in question you aren’t interested because of that I feel that today being a marry of
achievements already has an added value

For me personally no I don't really care all that much but some gamers are Achievement Hunters so I guess the answer depends on who you are.

I think they are as relevant as you make them. I also was a massive Achievement hunter, getting over 100K GS back in/by 2013. However, I've gotten less than 10K since then. I think -- for me-- my priorities have just changed and I prefer to just play a game
and enjoy it. Before, I wouldn't even play a game if getting 100% of its achievements were too difficult (or had online multiplayer requirements)!

If I do enjoy a game a lot, though, I will still try for the 100% so I can experience everything (like I did with Quantum Break!) but I'm also quite open these days to downloading something on GamePass just to try and knowing I may only even get one Achievement
in the game if I don't continue playing it.

I can go either way on this topic.

I generally don't go achievement hunting for every game that I own. I prefer to have my achievements show others how much I actually like a game. If you see that I have a game with only a few achievements then I don't enjoy playing it quite as much as the
others. I also like to compete with my friends on the games that we both play to see who can get which achievements first. A little healthy competition is always a good thing.

I can see the never ending hallway effect the game pass can create with the achievements if you are one of those hunters that must get every achievement for every game the scroll their cursor over. Unless you fully plan on buying all the games that make
their appearance in the game pass, I don't think it is physically possible to get every achievement for each game. I certainly don't want to try that myself.

I do think that the next gen should still have the achievements. They are good for competition with either friends or people in any Xbox clubs you are apart of. They also could make for some good bragging rights. lol

I still enjoy achievements, they are not as important to me as they used to be, but I still like have goals to work towards when I'm playing games.
