Are 4k game captures broken for anyone else?

I have no idea when the problem will be solved. Sorry i can not give you any more information..

Info:

To record game clips in higher resolution, you'll need to navigate to the Settings app of your console and manually enable the feature. By doing so, it also reduces how long temporarily recorded footage is saved from five minutes, down to two.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.
2. Scroll across to the System tab.
3. Select All settings.
4. Scroll down to the Preferences tab.
5. Choose Broadcast & capture.
6. Navigate to Game clip resolution.
7. Select 1080p SDR.

After enabling this option, all footage captured via Game DVR going forward will be recorded at 1080p resolution. To revert back to your previous resolution do the same as above but select your previous Resolution.

A few other members have reported the same issue on the forum. I am sure Microsoft are aware of the issue and are actively trying to sort this out. I am afraid you will just have to wait for the time being. Maybe try recording the clip in 1080p for the time
being ?

4K Capture is is broken after last update (15.5) we are waiting for new update with fix for that issue.

I'm not sure exactly when 4K recordings stopped working properly because I switched back to 1080P recordings for the longer clip length of 1 or 2 minutes on my Project Scorpio Xbox One X.

The 4K clips may be broken now because they might have made a change in the way that they are captured and/or prepared. Now there is a notification that the clip is being prepared which I don't remember previously (they might have just been captured originally,
this step doesn't happen for 1080P clips). The 4K preparing process may be what is broken in the newer Dashboard releases.

Unfortunately I have not yet seen an updated Dashboard release that fixes the 4K clip issue.
