To be honest I never fell for the Minecraft craze. Perhaps because I had no interest in anything like Lego as a kid, but doing it on a video game just seems like it would take more time than if I actually had some Lego lol.

Might give Blood Dragon a look sometime.

I will never touch another Assassin's Creed game ever again. I really enjoyed AC & AC2 but I'd had enough by the end of the 2nd game. Then I find out they have more sequels that CoD and has been going half as long. They even turned down a proper female character
so that they don't have to create new physics... Pffft!

[State of Decay]'s less than a fiver so I will get it, but I think I'll keep it at the back of the pile and hope to see a DLC price reduction too.

    [/quote]

    *bump* PubbbbBrako Service Announcement *honk*

Both DLC's -- Breakdown and Lifeline are in the Countdown Sale right now at 50% off. So less than £6 for both. (>_o)

  3. Hi Argon,

Yeah I snapped them both up yesterday after seeing the announcement on Xbox360achievements.com

Wouldn't have even known about it otherwise as they aren't/weren't advertised on the dash.

Need to chill with buying games for a bit now. Built a massive collection for both PS3 and 360 and the PS3 joypad no longer works Arcade Games: What have I missed :(. Not cheap to replace either. Have a third party pad for it but if a game requires that motion sensor thing I'm knackered
as only the offical pads do that.

Going to get through Fable Anniversary and then will most likely start on State of Decay.

Arcade Games: What have I missed

Fable Anniversary -- I still haven't seen any of that day one DLC content in that frickin' game. lol The Guild Shop doesn't have anything and neither does Snowspire. I did all the hoop-jumping Lionhead recommended but meh, none of it worked. {=D

  5. Only DLC I know of is whats on the market place. I know that the original had some on the Xbox but never played it so don't know nothing more than that.

To be honest FA feels like an arcade game. These HD games are nice see with a lick of paint, but the combat is old, missions are a bit on the dull side, but I want to stick with it as the narrative story is what I wanted to know most about due to playing
    FII & FIII first.

I think Lionhead overall are good at putting ideas on paper but quite poor when it comes to actual build quality. Especially when compared to the dev teams of today. At least Rocksteady do us Brits proud though Arcade Games: What have I missed :p

It's the launch day content I'm talking about. I got the codes with retail version. None of it has ever shown up in any of the in-game stores. I want the dark hooded apprentice top darn it!

IMO Fable is the best Fable. It has intuitive maps and leveling mechanics tied to skill trees... it was a Big Blue Box game too, the more Molyneux got involved the more we started to see useful features disappear in favour of nonsense features... like a
glitchy quest trail hopping from path to path... and no map... or a 3D useless map... conveying little to no information. Heh ha.

I think there's a thing though, where whichever game you come into a series in... that's the game you like the best. {=D It seems to be true for everyone.

  7. Well I've just beaten what I think is the second to last boss if the achievement list is anything to go by.

I've been enjoying the back story from this game which explains a lot to me on what I saw in the sequels. Its not bad, but again thats only age showing its gameplay flaws.

The problem with Fable is that the devs don't seem to know what they want it to be. They don't want an RPG because thats not what fans want... eh? And its not a hack & slash series because the combat is too tiresome and samey. Its 3 games in and I think
its a good series which lost out on being great due to the wrong people in control.

Did you play the Fable arcade game?

Arcade Games: What have I missed

    TL:TR...

Castlenvania: Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Despair, and Lament of Sorrows are all excellent. SotN is MetroidVania at it's finest, HD is quite the epic multiplayer online experience, (altho, HD on PS3 would probably have a more active player base since
PS3 is more targeted towards Japan, & they love them some Soma...) and LoS is sooooo friggin good.

If you like the whole Metroidvania, check into Dust: An Elysian Tale...omg so great, hand drawn sprites. Also, Strider. The remake is awesomesauce.

Anything by Behemoth. Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers & Battleblock Theatre...all excellent gameplay, AH is a strait up shooter, CC is a good old fashioned couch co-op brawler, & BT is just too friggin hilarious to pass up.

Twin Stick Shooters, you like those? OMFG! ANY of the Geometry Wars titles are EXCELLENT! For freebies you can pick up Airmech Arena (TWS & Real Time Strategy), and you could potentially get an xbox 1 if you get into their tournament. Check out the Indie
Games section, I Made A Game With Zombies In It (1337 5p43k involved) is excellente for a dollar. Speaking of twin stick shooters, look into Renegade Ops, awesome gameplay, meh story, avatar freebies.

If you like good old couch co-op brawlers, Scott Pilgrim, D&D:Chonicles of Mystaria, Final FightArcade Games: What have I missed :Double Impact (Final Fight & Magic Sword in full Arcade & online support!)

Doesn't really fit but you should check out:

Trials: Any of them (HD, Evolved, Fusion). I haven't tried Fusion, but on the sake of the brand, you're probably safe there too.

Splosion Man or Ms.: Decent platformer. It's good.

Limbo: Excellent platformer, but an art piece. It's worth the exploration, even if just the demo.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed. A re-hash of the 80's NES gem. Let's put it this way: It influenced my decision to buy a 360. Don't even bother w/ BC:R2...it's there, but as a long time BC fan...meh.

DarkStalkers:Resurrection- Capcom pvp fighter w/ Monsters instead of SF. EPIC.

Mark of the Ninja: Get the Director's Cut expansion. The game is worth it if you like either:

    A: A challenge

    B: Solid 2d platform/exploration

    C: Ninjas

    D: Storyline

Hard Corps:Uprising: Excellent Bullet Hell, Contra Style. Leveling.

From Dust: Weird *** 'god' game where you can move earth, water, lava, etc... to guide human development.

Delisteds: Games you really did 'miss'

Marble Blast: Ultra & Voltron. Sorry bro.

I have fun balancing my alignment so the hero looks normal, never getting scratched, grabbing that Skorm bow early, only boosting health and will bars with elixirs not points, and only putting points into having the hero become a lanky fast archer.

I visit the temples at different points to keep the hero young through the story... it's challenging and fun. The sequels were fun but meh... was hard to create a challenge in them.

The Pub Games? No. I just assumed it was all the uh, pub games that are found in Fable II. I imagine it's easy G if that's the case, but I never bought it.. =]

Edit: Haven't played Fable Heroes either. Didn't like the look of the non-Fabley art style/design.

  10. No not the pub games arcade. There is a 4 player co-op Fable dolls type game.

Not into mass co-op or multiplayer, maybe just the odd go so never bought into it. Wouldn't be interested in the Legends game either as it seems to have done away with any type of story and just aimed at 4 player mini-games.

Was the Alan Wake arcade addition any good or did it just seem like a cheap cash-in?

    Yeah, no, I haven't played that. =]

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is painfully repetitive, but that's kind of the point of the 'nightmare' in the title. Assassin's Creed 1 could have been titled "Altair's Crusader Nightmare" to excuse the repetitive nature of the side quests... heh ha.

But yeah, if you enjoy Alan Wake, The Writer and The Signal... it's hard to resist checking out American Nightmare, and depending on how you interpret the ending... you DO get an ending to Alan's story.

It's got a challenging Horde Mode too. I recommend it if you've got some throwaway spondooley at hand.

Been some cracking deals so far. Only bought the State of Decay DLC, but have to admit that the prices on some games has been amazing.

Nothing I've said argues wha? I'm not trying to argue... that... it is awful? Wait, what? Ha ha. {XD That it *isn't* an awful game?

It's not creeping, it's curiosity. When you go back to the worst game you've ever played to mop up achievements - like don't even pretend you found all the collectibles without looking at a guide once - a game that now sort of accounts for a decent percentage
of your overall gamerscore - a person has to wonder why... of all the games on your card you could be playing...

... you choose the one you've deemed the worst you've ever played. Is it like, "Well hey I've got some downtime. May as well play that cack I hate! The worst one I've EVER in my life, across all platforms and all time... played." {=D (?)

What does me 100%ing it have to do with how good it is? It was the easiest game to 100%, like you literally don't have to do anything other than play the game. The controls were terrible and the story sucked. Only reason I played it was it was free a
