    ARC Channel Support

My setup for 5.1 and no lag:

XboxOne HDMI to "Game" port on receiver

From receiver "Video Out" (HDMI) to ARC on TV.

I had major lag until I went into the xbox audio settings, and unchecked "Allow 24Hz"....or whatever boxes, and set the Xbox to 5.1 with no compression.

On the receiver, I adjusted the sound delay a bit. I also run the receiver in PCM which gives me no audio compression, and a nice rich 5.1 sound.

    ARC enabled?

keep in mind ARC is limited to stereo, dolby 5.1 & DTS 5.1 audio only.

Yamaha make excellent high quality full on receivers but one of their good quality soundbars would be fine for just basic ARC usage if looking for better than average, they also support 4K/HDR pass-through.

Dolby digital on XBOX Series X

Thanks for your reply. When you have you soundbar connected to ARC on your tv do you have Bitstream enabled?

TV (LG OLED 55B6V) loses signal when switching from HDR to SDR

I have this issue as well, but only when HDR and YCC 4:2:2 is enabled in the video settings. My TV is LG OLED B6 and goes trough an AVR, Denon x1400H, not using ARC.

Sound Bar LG SJ9 Atmos Soundbar

I have the same problem - I have my Xbox one S connected to my ATMOS enabled LG 2017 TV and then to the Atmos enabled SJ9 via ARC and neither sound output is recognised as supporting Atmos by the Xbox when I try to enable it as the bitstream out format.
A direct connection of the xbox to the SJ9 via the HDMI in connection also fails. Bitstream out with Dolby digital works fine.

Atmos works fine from other sources.

    Thanks.

Sound delay when using soundbar while Playing BfV

It is connected via hdmi arc directly to the soundbar. arc is just the shortform for HDMI audio return channel.
