    ARC and 4K

I guess I’ll start with the setup.

Devices: XBox One X, Denon AVR X1300W receiver, and Sony Bravia X900E

Wires are connected: Xbox—>Denon—> TV (Through HDMI 3 ARC) all HDMI are cables are hdcp2.2

When I turn on 4K in the display setting in my Xbox, my tv loses picture signal. When I put the Xbox Back to 1080p I get a picture signal back. If I use the Non-ARC input and switch it to 4K, I don’t lose any signal. I’m trying to get some feedback on is
this a ARC not being able to coexist with HDR issue? Any feedback is appreciated.

    :)

[SOLVED] Onkyo XBOX One X 4K issue

Anyone with XBOX One X not getting 4K resolution from your 4K TV via Onkyo AVR that has two HDMI Out ports? The screen keep getting back to 1080p regardless what you do, then do this:-

    1. Connect another HDMI OUT port (SUB) Non ARC to another HDMI IN (non ARC) port of your 4K TV.

    2. On Onkyo remote, press Quick Menu and change HDMI Out from (MAIN+SUB) or MAIN to just SUB

Go to XBOX settings and change to 4K UHD.

Even after you disabled MAIN HDMI Out, ARC still working provided you leave the other HDMI cable connected to both ARC ports of the AVR and the 4K TV.

Help with audio issue on Xbox one s.

Forgot to give setup. Xbox is connected to tv directly via hdmi, then tv out to receiver via hdmi arc. It has always worked like this before with old xbox one. I tried connecting direct to reciever then pic to tv via arc, but then it says it is not 4k. Even
though reciever is capable of 4k arc passthrough.

    Heya!

    Let's start with some
    troubleshooting
for the Xbox One X, and let's also test the TV's 4K capabilities with the console.

Be sure run that test with every port and cable setup to see where the issue lies.

To be sure, is the ARC port part of the Receiver or the TV?

Post back and let us know if you are still running into issues!

How do i connect my xbox one s to my tv to still get 4k picture but at the same time connect it to my soundbar to get dolby atmos sound

It seems that your TV supports Audio Return Channel (ARC). However, on the TV's specification page I don't see if it supports Dolby Atmos through ARC.

If your TV is capable to send Dolby Atmos via ARC, you'd connect your Xbox to a 4K capable HDMI port OTHER than the HDMI ARC port on your TV.

You will then get 4K resolution on the TV screen, and the TV would "forward" audio via the Audio Return Channel to the sound bar. If supported, this will then be Dolby Atmos.

It seems that the Soundbar doesn't support 4K pass through. So either you would need a new TV that supports Dolby Atmos via ARC, or a new soundbar or AV receiver that supports 4K video.
