Arbitrary Credit/Charge

i have been getting charges onto my account that are listed as Arbitrary Credit/Charge i have no idea what they are, Anyone know?

I just got charged 65.99 Arbitrary Credit/Charge , I have no idea why . I did not buy anything , can anybody help me out on what to do?

 

Have you recently added a new card?

Some charges can be made to check the validity of the card, it is refunded.

Other than that, you should call phone support to report any unauthorised charges.

 

Nope, i got the xbox in june and thats when i first put my card details in. Its been taken out a few times :/

 

I got refunded ($16.25) onto my microsoft account in early January listed as Arbitrary Credit/Charge. Its like they took $16.25 from my bank and made me put it on my account. At no point in January did I make any purchases or attempted purchases. My card
has been on my account for one or two years.

 

I saw a similar occurrence in my account as well. Finally I realized it seems to match up with rewards credits Xbox rewards program gave me for doing certain offers, it was quite the relief. Have you been credited or charged the amounts?. Don't know if this
helps but I'd thought I'd share.

I would check if it was a charge or a microsoft rewards credit

 

If the amount is listed in parenthesis then it's a credit to your account. There was a rewards deposit yesterday so that is most likely it.

 

I found loads of these charges. Does anyone know what this is? The money is being TAKEN from my account for arbitrary charges

 

Yeh it's been taken out of my account. Their twitter said to phone support, which I haven't gotten around to doin yet. I am also not getting any reward money added to my account which is also strange

 

Ok so I just spoke to someone on twitter who was having the same problem, they phone support and apparently it is the rewards even though it's showing as a minus and being taken out of the account. But one thing I still don't get is it says £1 = 1000 credits
but I was given £3 something. Am I wrong? Is it in dollars maybe?

 

5,000 credits is equal to £3.00. So £1 definitely doesn't equal 1,000 credits.

 

5000= $5

5000= £3

You will have got £3 something as you will have went over the 5000 point auto deposit threshold
