April update messing with disk drive

@GAW984 Not that I know of, man. Seriously, they need to get on this pronto haha! One new issue I found EXCLUSIVE to energy saving mode (which I think is related to these plethora of blu ray drive power issues etc.) is that on every initial disc insert,
the drive doesnt seem to pick up that there is a disc inside and therefore still shows the "insert disc" tile. When I eject, the disc pops out a little and the drive "wakes up" and eats it again, which then reads it perfectly. Subsequent disc inserts work
without any issues.

Honestly, all of this happened after the update, which makes me believe that it's some sort of coding or a messed up booting process that's causing these issues.

Glad im not the only one who have this problem! The problem you did describe is exactly the same i had. I did just talked with the microsoft austria support, and they recommend me a guide which should help to solve this problem. Its probably the april beta
update which causes this problem.

1. Go to the Energy Settings and activate the "Energy Saving" option.

2. Then turn off/sign out your xbox one controller and hold the power button on your xbox one for about 20 second until your xbox one restart. If the console doesn´t start automatically by itself, you have to press the power button again.

3. Now insert a disc and see if it start without problems. Did it start right?

Then press the reject button and see if your console reject your disc without any problems.

My xbox one´s language settings are german, so i dont know the right translations. So please excuse any mistakes. This guide actually solved my problem, so i really hope it helps you too. Good luck!

this is driving me crazy i have the disc read error problem to keep shutting the xbox one down just to play another game is starting to become a chore

yeh Kinect doesn't read my codes either, but just to let you know I bought metal gear solid azwell the code you get with it is not for ground zeroes its for the main game phantom pain when it comes out
